MoTown 09-17-2009, 07:44 PM Just realized that I haven't taken a dump in 2+ days. That's normal for me. Weird, I know. Timone 09-17-2009, 07:51 PM I'm basically an every other day guy myself. Glenn 09-17-2009, 07:58 PM Hmph I,m typically once a day. Unless Taco Bell is involved. Timone 09-17-2009, 08:01 PM Hmph I,m typically once a day. Unless Taco Bell is involved. I'm eating some right now. One of the bathroom threads may need some bumping soon. Uncle Mxy 09-17-2009, 09:24 PM Sounds like Glan and Tahoe need to get a D (as in dulcolax or diazinon) in their "better living through chemistry" class. Glenn 09-18-2009, 12:05 PM PoopWatch 2009 is well into day 3. At this point, I wonder which will come first, my next poop or Baker's next post? I know which one will be of higher quality and will smell better, at least. MoTown 09-18-2009, 12:08 PM ^Nice. Timone 09-18-2009, 12:42 PM I feel like such a badass because the upcoming Alice in Chains album leaked and I totally downloaded that shit. Glenn 09-18-2009, 09:20 PM Poopcess! Now it's like twice a day. Spinach salads and cabbage soup are better than Canadian beer in that regard. I would give up $5G/yr if it meant I could poop on a regular schedule. And if that makes me Dad Type, whatever. I'll tell you where to send the Wranglers. UxKa 09-19-2009, 12:28 AM I would give up $5G/yr if it meant I could poop on a regular schedule. Tahoe 09-19-2009, 08:22 PM Trainspotting...watched last night/this am, forgot how good it was. Fucked up subject, but well done movie. Zip Goshboots 09-23-2009, 12:32 PM I think I am going to have my name legally changed to El Gato-:cogent: Tahoe 09-23-2009, 01:26 PM Watched Schindler's List last night. Quite a story. Big Swami 09-23-2009, 01:30 PM ^ You know, I'm still not sure entirely what I think about that movie. On the one hand, it's pretty much the most straightforward depiction of the death camps I've ever seen, especially from Spielberg, and his movies are usually full of bullshit cheez and sentimentality. On the other hand, I can't help but feel a little sick about how that movie won a ton of awards and praise for Spielberg, and I think it's fair to say he used Auschwitz to boost his career. Tahoe 09-23-2009, 01:38 PM I dont' think about SSpielberg. Just the movie. Big Swami 09-23-2009, 01:43 PM I dont' think about SSpielberg. Just the movie. Have you seen Amistad? Tahoe 09-23-2009, 02:05 PM Since it doesn't ring a bell, I'm going to say no. If its anything like Sch List, I'd remember it. DrRay11 09-23-2009, 02:43 PM I have been super busy lately, with nearly no time for anything ( do have wide open drinking time on the weekends, though ). I guess everything that matters to me is still going on in my life, so that's good. Big Swami 09-23-2009, 03:00 PM Since it doesn't ring a bell, I'm going to say no. If its anything like Sch List, I'd remember it. It has a lot in common with Schindler's List. It's pretty brutal in parts. It goes on for way too long, though. Tahoe 09-23-2009, 03:27 PM Watched Semi-Pro last night after Joe Buck Live. Funny. Didn't finish it, but its not like I'm watching it for the plot. Tahoe 09-23-2009, 03:29 PM I'm a big High School Musical fan, so we were bullshitin the other night at someone's house and I looked up that those top 3 kids are worth about 10 million bucks cuz of those movies. Holy shit. Then someone said check out the Harry Potter 3. Not sure about 2 of them but Emma Watson will prolly rake in about 750 million dollars for her role. Holy shit x lots. Timone 09-23-2009, 04:12 PM I like Schindler's, but I'm more of a Pianist guy. It's probably one of my top 5 favorite movies. DennyMcLain 09-23-2009, 04:54 PM That stupid little girl in that commercial SAYS Glan 7 is so much better, a giant leap forward, than the previous OS... but I'm not 100% sure. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/9776/glan7.jpg Tahoe 09-23-2009, 07:22 PM I like Schindler's, but I'm more of a Penis guy. There was an ad on Yahoo the other day for Hollywood Video offering their "clearance sale" on used DVD's. It was 3.99 each or 3 for 10, 5 for 15, 8 for 20. I scanned through the list adding anything of interest to my "cart" with the intention of paring it down to 8 at the end when I decided what I really wanted. At around 2 am (midnight west coast where hollywood's headquarters is located) I noticed that it was no longer letting me add stuff to my cart and that of the 21 movies in my cart, 4 of them had changed their price to 4.99 from 3.99 and the rest were now priced at $0.00. So I just checked out to see what would happen. It took my credit card payment and I got an email saying "thank you for your order" listing all 21 movies for 22 something after tax. Any guesses on whether they actually ship them all?? MoTown 12-12-2009, 08:52 AM I hope you get your DVDs, Vin. Among other things, I procured a $24 Impecca media player for my mom for Christmas. I decided to load some mp3s on it to get her going. But, I was having a devil of a time with it, thinking its battery wasn't holding a charge because it'd turn off when unplugged from power/USB. I was a day away from not giving her the gift at all, thinking it was defective. Nope. It turns out that there's a (somewhat subtle) on-off switch, but it's ignored if it's actually plugged in. I had it set to "off" all this time, and it dutifully would turn off once unplugged. <groan> Anyone else see this as a safety hazard? SMU officials said the body of a student was found about 12:30 p.m. Friday. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Tuesday that the student was Green, 21, a sophomore. Campus officials said no foul play was involved and an investigation is under way. It's the second family tragedy in eight months for Ken Green, who won five PGA Tour events between 1985-89 and played on the 1989 Ryder Cup team. Green had his lower right leg amputated last summer after a recreational vehicle accident in which his brother and girlfriend were killed. Green acknowledged his son's death on his personal blog Tuesday. "Well, today is another sad day," he said. "I'm sorry to say that my youngest son, Hunter, has passed. His journey in life has ended and I can't tell you how difficult understanding this is." Green earned about $3.7 million and 44 top 10 finishes on the regular tour before a bout with depression nearly derailed his career. He has talked of critical children's voices in his head that scuttled his concentration and left him contemplating suicide as he struggled to stay on the tour. He lost his Tour card in 2000 and coped with financial problems between 2005 and 2008, the year he turned 50. Green joined the Champions Tour for older players that year and played well. He was 54th on the money list with $123,906 in 11 appearances in 2009 before the accident. In June, Green was traveling in the back of an RV driven by his brother when a tire blew out. The RV went off the road, down an embankment and crashed into a large oak tree. Fellow pros gathered for an event in September to raise money to pay some of his medical and personal expenses, including Fred Funk (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=152), Curtis Strange (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=411), Mark Calcavecchia (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=66) and Phil Blackmar (http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=40). Green said then that he wanted to rejoin the Champions Tour in 2010. I guess my day wasn't so bad. DrRay11 01-27-2010, 03:29 PM Isn't the iPad just a bigger iPod touch?
