WTFchris 02-12-2007, 12:47 PM It's snowing pretty good here in Pontiac now. Hermy 02-12-2007, 12:57 PM It never stops snowing just off the lakeshore. Glenn 02-12-2007, 12:59 PM Did you guys see that shit in New York? One city got like 11 feet of snow in the last 8 days. Zip Goshboots 02-12-2007, 01:22 PM There's no snow yet where I live, but we could get 3-5 inches tonight. School may be cancelled tomorrow. I'll keep everyone posted. DrRay11 02-13-2007, 08:12 AM Hell Yes. The University of Dayton is closed until 3:00, after which I don't have any classes. Uncle Mxy 02-13-2007, 09:16 AM 4-9" is what I heard on the radio. Ugh. MikeMyers 02-13-2007, 09:00 PM Another over-hyped snow storm. Uncle Mxy 02-14-2007, 06:55 AM I dunno. It was decently nasty, more because of the wind than the snow. Auto drivers lost their requisite 30 IQ points in the face of snow. Fool 02-14-2007, 10:30 AM Took me 2 and half hours to get to work this morning. There were plenty of cars spun out, even one that was on a fence about 30 feet away from the highway. Matt 02-14-2007, 06:32 PM i got home at 3:30 am from work and got stuck in my driveway :( shoveling out my car at 3:30 am sucks. on the way home there was a dude in one of those metro cars that spun out on the side of the road. i stopped by to ask if he was ok. he was just chillin' reading Slam magazine, lol. we talked about the Pistons for a bit :) Tahoe 02-14-2007, 06:48 PM I think I actually got a little bit of a sun burn today out by the pool. We had 3 consecutive nights in around 25 degrees. It'll prolly cost me 1500 to replace my plants from the freeze. Does this help? MikeMyers 02-15-2007, 09:26 AM i got home at 3:30 am from work and got stuck in my driveway :( shoveling out my car at 3:30 am sucks. on the way home there was a dude in one of those metro cars that spun out on the side of the road. i stopped by to ask if he was ok. he was just chillin' reading Slam magazine, lol. we talked about the Pistons for a bit :) lol. I think the snow was deceptive because of the wind. I didn't think it snowed too much when I looked outside before I went to bed but when I woke up and saw the snow, I was like wow. What is up with schools always closing in Monroe? They must get 10 snowdays a year. MikeMyers 02-26-2007, 11:53 AM Worst February in a long time. Record cold temperatures. Snow Storm. Ice Storm. I can't wait to get out of this month. bigdt87 02-28-2007, 01:18 AM I was kinda hoping we would get like a ft of snow from this last "storm"...meh MikeMyers 03-01-2007, 11:44 AM March 1st and freezing rain/sleet. This winter absolutely sucks. DrRay11 03-01-2007, 11:47 AM Snow one day, tornado watch the next. That's Ohio for you. WTFchris 03-01-2007, 12:28 PM Yeah, this weather sucks a big one. MikeMyers 03-07-2007, 01:08 PM Just an update. 1-2 inches of snow this morning. Glenn 03-13-2007, 06:47 PM It's nearly dark and 74 degrees. Snow this weekend. MoTown 03-15-2007, 09:06 AM 77 Degrees on Tuesday... 28 hours later it's snowing. That's mildly humorous. Zip Goshboots 03-15-2007, 09:11 AM I remember vacationing in Houghton Lake in early june as a kid and yes, there was snow! It sucked then, and it sucks now. MikeMyers 03-15-2007, 12:50 PM Unfortunately, we got some more snow today. DrRay11 03-15-2007, 12:52 PM 70 down to 30 in a day. Damn. Zekyl 03-15-2007, 01:53 PM When I wake up, look out the window and the first thing I see is snow on my car when I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt the day before, there's a problem. MikeMyers 03-19-2007, 09:51 AM March 19th and it snowed again. gusman 03-19-2007, 11:24 AM i looked out my window this morning and bam there it was again S N O W Glenn 03-19-2007, 11:30 AM i looked out my window this morning and bam there it was again S N O W http://notonlybutalso.typepad.com/notonlybutalso/images/snow.jpg Vinny 03-19-2007, 04:45 PM NtILxBszyf8 Vinny 03-19-2007, 04:46 PM It's real nice here today and you guys usually follow us weatherwise, so look forward to tommorrow at least. MikeMyers 04-04-2007, 11:18 AM It sucks for the people at the Tigers game today. Windy and 30's. Uncle Mxy 04-05-2007, 12:07 PM More fucking snow on the way... ugh. MikeMyers 04-09-2007, 01:29 PM Cleveland games have been cancelled again due to 1 ft of snow. MikeMyers 04-09-2007, 01:35 PM I keep hoping we can close this thread for good until next winter. Glenn 04-11-2007, 02:32 PM This is fucking ridiculous. It's a goddamn blizzard outside here. WTFchris 04-11-2007, 02:41 PM I'm going back to Arizona dammit. I left 85 and sunny for this shit. MikeMyers 04-11-2007, 03:11 PM April 11th and snow. We need to start placing bets on when the last day of snow for the Spring will be. DennyMcLain 04-11-2007, 10:02 PM 80 degrees and clear as a bell. But only if you eat this special candy, and get a good nights sleep! Night Night! gusman 04-13-2007, 10:09 AM next 10 days forecasting high 44 degrees lows in low 30's with some rain and snow mixed in. I hate this DennyMcLain 04-13-2007, 02:47 PM Ok Denny. OK, you can drive the fire truck tomorrow! But only if you eat this special candy, and get a good nights sleep! Night Night! Is that how you put YOUR kids to sleep? Special candy? Let's hope we're talking Pez, here, and not "Meat Twinkies". MikeMyers 04-16-2007, 03:47 PM It didn't snow today. WTFchris 04-16-2007, 04:28 PM I hate you. Every time I see this damn thread on the new posts I cringe. Uncle Mxy 04-16-2007, 09:07 PM Same here. It was 60 degrees out, but with these obnoxious 40 degree howling winds, and I could almost believe it was gonna snow. The last year it snowed around tax day that I recall, Chuck Daly won a championship. MoTown 04-17-2007, 08:25 AM Same here. It was 60 degrees out, but with these obnoxious 40 degree howling winds, and I could almost believe it was gonna snow. The last year it snowed around tax day that I recall, Chuck Daly won a championship. Nah - two years ago we had that foot of snow on April 23 or so. The Pistons and Sixers series was starting. gusman 04-17-2007, 10:09 AM looks like after friday we have made it. 60's on sunday and nothing under 50 after that Uncle Mxy 04-17-2007, 06:12 PM Nah - two years ago we had that foot of snow on April 23 or so. The Pistons and Sixers series was starting. We did? I remember ice in April, but not snow. I'm sure I mentally blot out snow, though. MikeMyers 04-17-2007, 07:43 PM I don't recall a foot of snow in April either. Zip Goshboots 04-17-2007, 07:44 PM I don't recall April. MoTown 04-17-2007, 08:30 PM Yup... it was the first game between the Sixers and the Pistons (might have been 7-9 inches, I may have stretched it a little) and the camera showed a picture of people walking in the snow outside of the Palace and then switched to Sheed wearing his championship belt. Please don't ask me how I remember this because I don't know... EDIT: Found proof! http://www.crh.noaa.gov/dtx/cms.php?n=dtw_summary_2005 The sunny, pleasant and beautiful weather reached a climax on the 19th when record highs (all 83) were attained at the three climate stations (DTW/FNT/MBS). After the 19th, however, the weather was all downhill, accelerating big-time by the weekend. A series of cold fronts from the 20th to the 23rd, dropped temperatures some 40-50 degrees by the weekend /23-24th/! An intense low pressure developed along an arctic cold front in the Upper Ohio Valley on the 23rd-24th and actually backed westward into the Eastern Lower Great lakes (over southwest Ontario - central pressure about 29.25 inches /986 MB/). This storm brought the worse late April weather seen in these parts in several decades. Snowfalls from the storm ranged wildly from a trace to as much as 16.5" with the heaviest falling across the highland areas from central Oakland County northeast into the Thumb Region (around Bad Axe). This very late snowstorm was the "icing on the cake" so to speak on what already had been a very snowy season. Incredibly, our May 9th, 1923 snowstorm which contained similar snow depths occurred about two weeks later in the season! Officially at Detroit, 4.3" of snow fell over the two days (1.2" on the 23rd and 3.1"),both of which were records snowfall (1.2" on the 23rd and 3.1" on the 24th Glenn 08-21-2007, 03:01 PM It's been raining a lot. WTFchris 08-21-2007, 03:19 PM I know, this is what my lawn looks like now: http://www.enviromower.co.uk/images/enviromower_through_long_grass.jpg DrRay11 08-21-2007, 04:36 PM Yeah... our basement is flooded. Big Swami 08-22-2007, 09:59 AM I am above the "flood line" in Dearborn, so the house has flood insurance. Once you get close to the Rouge or the creeks that flow into the Rouge, you can't get flood insurance. If you live downriver, it's pretty much impossible. Lots of houses just south of us are built on a slab. Just started thundering here in Livonia. Glenn 08-27-2007, 09:54 AM No power at home from 6 pm Thursday until 4:30 am on Sunday. Three sick kids and a $145/night hotel room = one of the worst weekends of my life. Thank god it's Monday? Uncle Mxy 08-29-2007, 05:46 AM Sorry to hear about that, Glenn -- that just fucking sucks! Glenn 08-29-2007, 07:55 AM Thanks Mxy. Also had to throw out everything in the fridge/freezer and re-buy it all. All together I think we spent close to $500 (fridge/hotel/meals out/gas/etc), which just happens to be our homeowners insurance deductible, which negates the option of filing a claim. Especially since doing so would likely result in a rate hike. I'm about this|close to buying a goddamn generator. HipDigIt 08-29-2007, 09:08 AM If this trend continues take the "under" on Saturday for every game. You'll get rich. WTFchris 08-29-2007, 09:23 AM No power at home from 6 pm Thursday until 4:30 am on Sunday. Three sick kids and a $145/night hotel room = one of the worst weekends of my life. Thank god it's Monday? Why a hotel? Light some candles and bust out the Oujia board. Glenn 08-29-2007, 09:39 AM Long story Chris, it's all about the kids. (3 of them under 4 years old, all sick last weekend) DrRay11 08-29-2007, 09:42 AM Our basement was flooded. New carpet, thankfully we have insurance. Uncle Mxy 08-29-2007, 11:10 AM I am scared shitless to file insurance claims, even for weather-related damage. I expect that if I file one claim, I'll be anally probed, they won't pay for shit and I'll be uninsurable or my rates will go up 1000% forever. Big Swami 08-29-2007, 11:30 AM I am scared shitless to file insurance claims, even for weather-related damage. I expect that if I file one claim, I'll be anally probed, they won't pay for shit and I'll be uninsurable or my rates will go up 1000% forever. It's almost like you're better off not spending your money on insurance, and instead just spending your money on emergency expenses when you need to. Zekyl 08-29-2007, 11:57 AM Weather report for the day: Its hot as fuck outside. I stood outside for 5 minutes and sweat through my shirt. Tahoe 08-29-2007, 02:25 PM My first visit to this thread. When you get back to normal, it makes you apreciate home doesn't it Glen. I have 2 generators for work. I used it once here in Sac, but plenty when I was up in Lake Tahoe. The heavy snow would knock out the power for days. Then water lines would freeze, then thaw, then burst, then fuck up your house. Generators are an incredible thing. Tahoe 08-29-2007, 03:54 PM Tornado warnings around Saginaw? Did I see that right? Our summer weather is so boring out here...Hot and hotter, thats about it. I'm not saying I want a tornado rolling through here but a nice summer rain once in a while would be fine with me. Uncle Mxy 08-29-2007, 05:04 PM There was a nasty tornado that went through Fenton last week. MoTown 12-01-2007, 07:25 PM Tonight: 2-4 Inches of snow. Rain afterwards. 100% chance. Tomorrow: Rain all day long. 90% chance of precip. Tomorrow night: More snow. 80% chance. Outlook: shitty. I am not in town at the moment, and it sounds like "thank goodness", but the Detnews and Freep stories on the weather are kinda vague. Lots of accidents, only maybe a couple inches of snow? <confused> Zekyl 12-02-2007, 11:43 AM Warming up and rainy. It was pretty shitty last night though, with snow turning into freezing rain. By warming up I mean upper 40's at the moment. MoTown 12-02-2007, 03:52 PM The temp is 35 degrees. The fog is dense. And it's pouring. That's what it's currently like. Glenn 12-03-2007, 05:16 AM My cable is out. If I saw that Comcast lady right now I'd choke a bitch. Even though I don't have Comcast Big Swami 12-03-2007, 08:10 AM I dumped Scamcast last month and I am NEVER going back. MoTown 12-03-2007, 09:46 AM 32 with wind gusts over 50 mph today. Awesome. Big Swami 12-03-2007, 09:52 AM Many of you are going to be offline soon if you're not already. I apologize for your lack of Internet in advance. MoTown 12-03-2007, 09:59 AM I'll miss you, Swami. Never forget me.............. Big Swami 12-03-2007, 10:02 AM This thread is like the opening 20 minutes of Cliffhanger WTFchris 12-03-2007, 11:15 AM Outlook: Michigan True. We got 2 inches of snow one day so far in Denver. (knock on wood). It's mostly been 50-60 and sunny for the last month. The mountains just got 1-3 feet which kicks ass for skiing. Went golfing in shorts about a week and a half ago. Zekyl 12-03-2007, 11:53 AM So two days ago it snowed, then yesterday it rained and all the snow was gone, now its like none of it ever happened and its in the upper 30's. Big Swami 12-03-2007, 11:54 AM Typical Michigan weather: just shitting snow on us for the sake of ruining the weekend. MikeMyers 12-03-2007, 02:12 PM This wind outside is ridiculous. Is it just me or have we had like 6 windy days during the past month? Glenn 12-03-2007, 02:27 PM Global windification. MikeMyers 12-16-2007, 12:20 PM 1 ft of snow. Zekyl 12-16-2007, 01:43 PM And I just went running in it. That sucked. UxKa 12-16-2007, 01:51 PM Got about 8in here yesterday. Wilfredo Ledezma 12-16-2007, 10:51 PM I got about 9 inches of snow at my house, and Sterling Heights public services didn't find the need to plow residental streets until mid-day... I'll be sure to send Mayor Notte a thank you card for that one... Big Swami 12-17-2007, 08:57 AM The skies have opened and shat upon the face of Michigan once again. Thanks a lot, goddamn fucking useless skies. Tahoe 12-17-2007, 10:06 AM Got about 8in here yesterday. Thats what she said. UxKa 12-17-2007, 12:06 PM Thats what she said. That's how I measured it too... had about 2 inches still sticking out. Big Swami 12-17-2007, 02:29 PM "She said 'give me 10 inches and make it hurt' so..." Timone 12-17-2007, 03:20 PM I fucked her twice and hit her in the head with a brick. Big Swami 12-17-2007, 04:47 PM Mailman with the delivery. Zekyl 12-17-2007, 06:00 PM Sounds like the package was about 5" Uncle Mxy 12-17-2007, 06:43 PM Some people are sensitive about the length of the thermometers they use to measure volume of snow. Zekyl 12-17-2007, 08:46 PM As long as it takes the temperature, its all good. MikeMyers 12-17-2007, 09:03 PM I got about 9 inches of snow at my house, and Sterling Heights public services didn't find the need to plow residental streets until mid-day... I'll be sure to send Mayor Notte a thank you card for that one... That mayor of Sterling Heights always wears crazy hats. Tahoe 12-18-2007, 05:32 PM Its been raining here now for like 5 minutes straight. Is it ever going to stop? MoTown 12-20-2007, 12:42 PM FYI - I had the pleasure of traveling this week and when my plane was scheduled to depart on Monday, the jetway was frozen to the airplane, causing an hour delay. I'm not sure how it takes an hour to unfreeze the jetway, my guess is peeing on it would have taken two minutes to unfreeze it. Good times. Carry on. Glenn 12-23-2007, 05:37 AM You guys in SE Michigan better get ready for this shit. The winds and rain just started picking up here in Kzoo, and later on it's supposed to drop 25 degrees in a manner of an hour or two. The wind is just insane. DrRay11 12-23-2007, 11:25 AM Yeah, it's windy as fuck here in NW Ohio too. Zekyl 12-23-2007, 01:32 PM Indeed it is. And my car is broken so I can't go anywhere unless I walk. Fuck that. Tahoe 12-23-2007, 04:41 PM It did that at about 3am here. At 2 it was raining really hard, by 4 everything was frozen. The wind is insane. So you're saying you didn't sleep much last night? A couple more Pumpkin Ales will take care of that. I did notice that they kicked my butt more than my Coors Light. UxKa 12-23-2007, 05:38 PM I never sleep much, fell asleep about 5am. Beer does usually help but I didn't feel like going to get any. Glenn 12-28-2007, 04:40 PM Lots of snow. This drive home is going to suck. There was a lot of freezing rain. I nearly fell, but I wasn't feeling too well (if I didn't have to be out, I wouldn't have been) and that may have had something to do with it. Uncle Mxy 01-01-2008, 01:40 PM My "not feeling well" turned out to be acute bronchitis (as opposed to a-fugly bronchitis?). It's hitting me just in time for this fucking snowstorm. Tahoe 01-01-2008, 01:52 PM Sorry to hear, Mxy. Sometimes its better to have something that can be treated with antib's and know you are getting better than a cold and flu where all you can do is wait it out. Tahoe 01-04-2008, 02:22 PM It is fucking nasty out. We're supposed to get 10-12 feet of snow. Winds right now are gusting to 60mph. Wind gust in Redding was measured at 82mph. Raining like a bitch. Zekyl 01-04-2008, 05:53 PM Wow, that sounds really horrid. Good luck to you. Hope the home and vehicles come out ok. Glenn 01-04-2008, 08:10 PM 10-12 feet? Zekyl 01-06-2008, 12:20 PM 45 degrees and raining. All the snow is gone. This is no fun. Tahoe 01-06-2008, 01:20 PM Yes, 10-12 feet. Its amazing up there in Tahoe. I would have to dig DOWN in the snow to get to my front door which was on a raised foundation. UxKa 01-06-2008, 01:57 PM 58 degrees, all the snow is gone. I call BS on global warming /sarcasm Uncle Mxy 01-06-2008, 06:07 PM I can't see global warming at the moment. In fact, with all the fog, I can't see much of anything. UxKa 01-07-2008, 04:22 PM I guess a tornado just zipped by a couple miles from my house. I am still wearing a t-shirt. WTFchris 01-07-2008, 04:40 PM Yes, 10-12 feet. Its amazing up there in Tahoe. I would have to dig DOWN in the snow to get to my front door which was on a raised foundation. Yeah, the front range in Colorado here got about 4 feet this past week. We had 55 and sun all weekend in Denver only an hour from the 4 feet of snow. Lol. D's Nuts 01-07-2008, 04:42 PM Cant wait to get out there this weekend and tear up the slopes! I've lived at this location for five years and had not heard the tornado siren until today. Some more tornadic storms are on their way, woohoo. MoTown 01-07-2008, 10:06 PM Tornado and Thunderstorm warnings on the 7th day of the year. I love Michigan. Tahoe 01-07-2008, 10:09 PM ^ Southern Mich? MoTown 01-07-2008, 10:16 PM Southeast. Tahoe 01-07-2008, 10:24 PM Rochester....I'd have to google it. Timone 01-07-2008, 10:25 PM Nope. But every once in a while, there were crackheads trying to sell magazine subscriptions. They're the reason I don't go out after dark anymore. I became a Mailman because I didn't want to fall victim to the streets. MoTown 01-07-2008, 10:34 PM Rochester....I'd have to google it. If we're going to compare it to a California city, the closest one I can think of is Compton. Timone 01-07-2008, 10:38 PM lololol Tahoe 01-07-2008, 10:39 PM Yea...I don't remember any Comptons north of 12 mile...if Roch is north of 12 mile. MoTown 01-08-2008, 08:14 AM 12 mile??? Try doubling that. I live on 24 mile, bitch. Zekyl 01-08-2008, 05:56 PM I am still wearing a t-shirt. Is that all? UxKa 01-08-2008, 06:01 PM The wearing of a t-shirt does not imply the lack of any other items of clothing. Timone 01-08-2008, 06:02 PM Well, I know you're not wearing a Tony Romo jersey. MoTown 01-08-2008, 09:08 PM ZING! Uncle Mxy 01-09-2008, 09:50 AM Rochester is one of those cities that wants to be snootier than it is, but doesn't quite know how. MoTown 01-09-2008, 11:52 AM Actually that's a pretty good way to describe Rochester. It's got its snooty areas and is trying to become Birmingham North, but it's just not working. Glenn 01-29-2008, 11:15 AM Another 30+ degree drop in temperature coming in the next 6-8 hours or so. Fool 01-29-2008, 11:17 AM Where's the Al Gore smilie? WTFchris 01-29-2008, 11:24 AM Another 30+ degree drop in temperature coming in the next 6-8 hours or so. We had more than that yesterday here. It was 65 on Sunday, 20 yesterday with high winds. You're going to get that front rolling through, and there is another one behind it. The winds suck ass the most. MoTown 02-01-2008, 01:17 PM So Ms. MoTown works for a bank inside a Kroger. Yesterday, as all the news reports were coming out as this was supposed to be the storm of the year, people were buying canned foods, and worrying about everyone else's safety for the day today. It was the busiest she's ever seen it. I have two inches outside my door right now and the weather pattern is passed us. I just wanted to make sure everyone's okay. Please, report in as soon as possible. Glenn 02-01-2008, 01:18 PM It's balls over here on the westsiiide. I had 6" at my house this morning (snicker) and it took me almost two hours to get to work. WTFchris 02-01-2008, 01:28 PM So Ms. The report doesn't surprise me. That storm rolled through Denver a couple days ago and dropped 2 inches in an hour. But that's all it dropped because we're in a rain shadow (the mountains got 1-3 feet). They probably thought it would pick up enough moisture from lake michigan to drop a lot of snow. Uncle Mxy 02-02-2008, 04:11 PM 3-4" or so... not severe, thank goodness. There was a fair bit of rain, which probably would've been snow if it were a degree cooler. Tahoe 02-06-2008, 09:24 PM Supposed to be kind of shitty out in Detroit right now. Just thought I'd let y'all know. Timone 02-06-2008, 09:27 PM Thanks for the reminder. The Irony 02-07-2008, 05:09 AM me and tahoe should make a "thank god we dont live in michigan anymore" thread Timone 02-07-2008, 05:16 AM Yeah, rub it in. :( MoTown 02-07-2008, 08:30 AM I just want to mention how easy it would be to be a meteorologist. Last week we get warnings that the storm of the century is on it's way. People cancel all their plans and expect to stay inside. Result? 2-4 inches of snow. Yesterday, there isn't much word on anything big coming. No panic, no real conversation. Result? At least a foot of snow around the whole city. My point is that it must be nice to be wrong in your job 90% of the time and still get paid. I wish I could fuck up 90% of the time in my job and still get paid. Zekyl 02-07-2008, 08:41 AM I havent looked outside yet but I'm going to assume Toledo Weather for 2-7-08 = Shitty DrRay11 02-07-2008, 12:49 PM We are getting flooded again in Ottawa. Fuck climate change. WTFchris 02-07-2008, 12:56 PM this weekend is supposed to be high 50's and sunny here in Denver....sorry Michigan. I suppose you'll get that weather a day or two later though (minus the sun part). Zekyl 02-07-2008, 12:58 PM There is no sun in Michigan, until mid summer when it never goes away and its constantly 90+ degrees out. Timone 02-07-2008, 05:08 PM Fall > Spring > Summer. who's wit me RegicideGreg 02-07-2008, 05:15 PM hell no Fall < Spring < Summer Timone 02-07-2008, 05:17 PM Sorry, I can't deal with the 90 degree weather even with air conditioner. MoTown 02-07-2008, 05:20 PM I'm hard to get along with - I only like Spring. When it's between 65-75 out. Fuck the weather otherwise. Timone 02-07-2008, 05:22 PM I'm pretty much the same way. I like Fall a little more because of football starting up and whatnot. Tahoe 02-07-2008, 05:28 PM Fall...Pheasant hunting! MikeMyers 02-07-2008, 08:27 PM Had to go to Lansing for work yesterday morning to attend this lame class. 4:00 rolls around and its time to drive back to Detroit. Holy shit. It took me 3 hours. Uncle Mxy 02-07-2008, 08:46 PM My snowblower had fun with the nastyass superwet snow yesterday. It kept stalling on me because that snow was so wet and mixed with ice. What a pain! Glenn 02-08-2008, 09:34 AM My snowblower had fun with the nastyass superwet snow yesterday. It kept stalling on me because that snow was so wet and mixed with ice. What a pain! Bitching about your snowblower not performing at an optimal pace is like bitching about the steering wheel on your Jaguar vibrating a bit when you hit 120 mph. Oh yeah, I have snowblower jealousy. I think I'll grab one off clearance this spring. Uncle Mxy 02-09-2008, 07:01 PM I bought mine from a friend. I asking him how well his worked because I was keen on buying a small one, something I wouldn't trip on in the garage. He was looking for an excuse to upgrade to a big-ass snow blaster of death thingy. Tahoe 02-11-2008, 05:33 PM 40 below in International Falls, Minni. Thats getin down there. Glenn 02-19-2008, 02:38 PM I'm in Minnesota this week. When left for work, it was -10. Just thought you should know. I think you deserve high praise. I'd venture a guess that no one else here hopped a plane this morning to go post on WTF from another state. WTFchris 02-19-2008, 05:48 PM I proudly wore my Wings hat here as they pounded the Avs last night. There was an article in the paper today about all the wings jerseys at the Pepsi Center. Vinny 02-19-2008, 08:47 PM I proudly wore my Wings hat here as they pounded the Avs last night. There was an article in the paper today about all the wings jerseys at the Pepsi Center. Yeah, they kept flashing to that on TV. I'd like to say that our fans are better than that, we'd never stop coming just because the team's down except that I went to a few Tigers games during the dark era and I've been to a Lions game, well....ever. I will say, though, it may still happen in Detroit, but every frigging time some Detroiters start a fight with them. Timone 02-20-2008, 05:29 PM Don't you hate those days when you look outside, see no snow, and think, "Shit, sweet, might be one of those rare warm days in February"...so you go outside shoe and shirtless and come to find out it's fucking freezing? I call them The Mailman Is A Dumbass days. Tahoe 02-20-2008, 07:22 PM Sunny...prolly a little sunburn today. Zekyl 02-21-2008, 08:52 AM Tahoe, you dick! Tahoe 02-26-2008, 10:28 AM So there's a salt shortage? I never thought of buying salt futures. I keep forgetting about all the shitty weather back east. But the news just said that salt prices have sky rocketted this winter. I thought there was some vast salt mine under Detroit or something. MoTown 02-26-2008, 10:47 AM Salt fucks everything up anyways. They overuse that shit here, and we pay for it with pot holes the size of Rhode Island. Just plow the road and let the cars take care of the rest. Zekyl 02-26-2008, 12:06 PM Or use sand. That's what they do up north and it cuts down on rust and gives better traction. Apparently we got a ton of snow in Toledo last night. All classes were cancelled for the day. I've yet to leave my room other than to brush my teeth, so I wouldn't know. Just got up, brushed my teeth, and got on WTF. Wilfredo Ledezma 02-29-2008, 05:47 PM I heard that in Cleveland, it snows feces rather than flakes. Can I get a confirmation??? Zekyl...?? WTFchris 03-03-2008, 03:37 PM Are you guys getting that shit we got in Colorado yesterday? That storm sucked my balls. We had 72 degrees and sun on Saturday. Then it's 35 and 4 inches of slop Sunday.
