DrRay11 04-03-2011, 02:06 PM Should we start the thread in The Stands? Timone 04-03-2011, 02:06 PM If Glan's "Lock It Up" thread isn't in The Stands, no reason why our match thread should be! I think we can make it pretty epic. Yes, I'm still watching wrestling even though The Rock, HHH, and Taker are gone for a long time. I have no idea why. DrRay11 04-15-2011, 09:55 PM this Jack Swagger cat has some hilarious facial expressions. Love it. Timone 05-20-2011, 12:41 PM Please tell me the rumors that "Macho Man" Randy Savage has died are untrue, P. Timone 05-20-2011, 12:42 PM Wow, this blows. Glenn 05-20-2011, 12:51 PM The Mulkeys did it. And you are all to blame. Glenn 05-20-2011, 02:48 PM Was just over on wwe.com to check out the Savage stuff and saw a pic of Kane without the mask on. Not really what I had imagined. Big Swami 05-20-2011, 04:40 PM I'm just here to pay my respects. Pharaoh 06-22-2011, 07:35 AM I'm sure you are all aware Randy Savage did in fact die. Another guy I grew up watching is gone - not many reasons left to care about wrestling. WWE is still all about Cena/Orton - and the boring stories have nothing to do with a PG rating. You can make it interesting by not having 2 Supermen beat everyone no matter what! How about they lose to a cheating heel and struggle to get their win back? TNA is still fucking useless - even with Ken Anderson as champ. They still can't book a decent fucking show, still can't push Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Matt Morgan and The Pope in a legit main event way. They can push Bully Ray as a legit main event level heel though - I guess being a star in the mid 1990's still counts for something in TNA. Brightside for wrestling is that certain young guys are being pushed in WWE and TNA. Time will tell if they can break through and mean something long term. Given all I've read and seen over the past 5 years I don't like their chances though, and that sucks. Wrestling is fairly easy to book and it's fairly easy to create characters that people respond to. WWE won't risk doing anything new while they have millions and millions of kids hooked on Cena... and Orton brings in a lot of teen male fans. TNA is held back by ego and the Russo/Hogan/Bischoff factors. It's a shame Paul Heyman didn't get 100% approval from Dixie Carter mid 2010 - he has stated more than once "if you're over 40 I would chop your fucking head off" because having ONE legend on the roster is brilliant... having 6 or so is stupid... Heyman's example: Stick 50 Megan Fox look-a-likes in a room. Stick ONE fat blonde chick in the room.... Let 10 (or 1000) people sneak a look into that room and then ask them what stuck out the most... Would it be the 50 Megan Fox look-a-likes? NO! It would be the lone fat blonde chick - because we notice things that are different! TNA has a bunch of young guys that can wrestle and talk, they have Kurt Angle.... how fucking hard is it? Obviously it's impossible because if you go back and read this thread TNA has been a massive disappointment for years! DrRay11 06-26-2011, 04:05 PM i want this: http://www.wweshop.com/item/the-rock-i-bring-it-authentic-t-shirt/Men/01-13625 Glenn 06-26-2011, 06:16 PM I can see Captain Karl wearing one of those. Pharaoh 06-27-2011, 08:26 AM The mere fact they signed The Rock to such a massive deal and are building (or will build) towards Rock v Cena essentially tells you that: 1) The casual fan has basically given up watching WWE altogether 2) Cena has faced and beaten every fucking major star in WWE (except Undertaker) in the last 4 years 3) WWE can't sell Cena vs anyone else (except Undertaker) to the masses because it's been done before too often Which begs the question: Why Rock and not Undertaker? Pharaoh 06-29-2011, 08:44 AM This whole CM Punk angle has been done before in Ring of Honor.... Punk signed his WWE developmental contract on the ROH championship belt! Not sure who is "writing" this angle in WWE or how it got approval from Vince but either way the whole "Is it legit or not" side of it makes it the only thing worth looking at in wrestling today. CM Punk cut an awesome promo on Raw last Monday night... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OS9wZGb_3g Name drops Vince, Hogan, Rock/Dwayne, Heyman, Lesnar, uses the term "wrestler", New Japan, Ring of Honor, Colt Cobana, John Laurinaitis, "idiotic daughter", "doofus son in law"... LMAO - and the internet goes crazy with "work" or "shoot" comments... Newsflash people - the golden rule of wrestling = if it's on TV it's a work And if you don't know who John Laurinaitis is... here is his WWE Corporate profile: http://corporate.wwe.com/company/bios/j_laurinaitis.jsp He's Road Warrior Animal's brother! Glenn 06-29-2011, 01:37 PM Just heard the audio on Jim Rome, really good. Timone 07-09-2011, 08:48 AM This guy is incredible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDlwCLGt014 DennyMcLain 07-24-2011, 04:05 PM eBwhEpJOrcM Pharaoh 07-25-2011, 07:02 PM I have to say this CM Punk angle is the best thing I've seen since the NWO/Austin v Vince stuff. It seems "real", it's essentially brand new to the masses (who watches Ring of Honor?) and Punk will be a massive star when he returns to WWE. The question is: Will he be a "returning hero" or stay "heel"? As long as they don't end up having Punk play Austin and Triple H play Vince I'll be happy - cause we've seen that re-hash a thousand times DennyMcLain 07-27-2011, 10:25 AM This time the WWE got it right. Instead of dragging a Shawn Micheals-like storyline on for months, they struck when the coals were still hot. Of course, the ending is so predictable. Summerslam here in LA. Cena v. Punk to unify the titles. Vince screws over Punk to get Cena the belt, and we find out the following RAW that Vince never left -- the HHH angle was a ruse to lure Punk back. Punk is pissed. Cena, who went on and on about not wanting to look like the corporation is helping him out, looks EXACTLY like that, and he's pissed too. HHH turns heel as he forms another "Corporation" (perhaps with the remaining members of Nexus, who turn on Punk). Cena finally becomes the anti-hero I've wanted him to be for so long, no longer giving a shit about the well-being of the WWE. Punk becomes a new "People's Champ". If they pull this, we've got ourselves a PG-rated Attitude Era. I believe Cena (or another wrestler) even alluded to this a while back that a PG Attitude Era is possible. CM Punk rules. Timone 08-01-2011, 09:12 PM OMG HE SAID PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER AND NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINER Timone 08-01-2011, 09:14 PM HHH cutting a promo. Time to go to sleep. DennyMcLain 08-09-2011, 10:41 AM I've changed my tune about SummerSlam. Here's how I think it'll go down. With HHH as guest referee, it stinks of screw job, which is what happens to John Cena. With CM Punk as the unified champ, suddenly Vince appears out of nowhere and calls for Alberto Del Rio to cash in his briefcase. Punk, worn down after a tough match, holds his own, but loses to a super-quick three count to become the new champion. Ecstatic, Del Rio doesn't mind his surroundings, and is cold cocked by HHH. Vince gets a new ref to the ring, and declares a new match, considering he was NEVER officially relieved of his duties (it was all for show to lure Punk back). HHH pedigrees Del Rio to becomes the new WWE champion. But by doing so, the rules set up an interesting scenario. This whole "no one man is bigger than the company" bullshit that Vince and HHH have been throwing around comes back to bite them in the ass. Cena, Punk, and Del Rio all legitimately lay claim to a rematch clause. Unable to hide behind their arrogance, Vince sets up a fatal four way at the next PPV. HHH is pissed, but there's a catch -- Vince inserts himself as the guest ref. It would make a great match. With the way they're writing these days, it's possible. Timone 08-14-2011, 11:21 PM Just got done watching SummerSlam, lol Timone 08-15-2011, 05:54 PM Probably going to watch Raw tonight. Will be interesting to see where they go with this Nash/HHH/Punk thing. Timone 08-15-2011, 09:01 PM God, the WWE uses such faggy music these days. I don't think anyone has a kick-ass, original theme song anymore. Timone 08-15-2011, 09:03 PM HHH starting off Raw. Back to the Tigers. Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:03 PM Will I be entertained if I turn this on? Timone 08-15-2011, 10:09 PM Maybe in a half hour or so. Punk just kilt Nash on the mic. Timone 08-15-2011, 10:11 PM Nash is usually good on "the stick," but that was a very disappointing showing. Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:14 PM Lots of douchebags so far. Timone 08-15-2011, 10:14 PM yeah, match time = change the channel. Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:16 PM How long until they eliminate the actual "wrestling"? Timone 08-15-2011, 10:17 PM this should be over in about 2 mins. Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:18 PM Do people actually care about the matches anymore? Timone 08-15-2011, 10:19 PM prolly not, unless Orton, Cena or Punk is in it. Match over!! Timone 08-15-2011, 10:20 PM I should become a wrestler. Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:21 PM "The Drifter", lol. Timone 08-15-2011, 10:21 PM For the record, I don't give two shits about Orton or Cena. I've only come back because of Punk. Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:23 PM "Orlando Jones guest stars" Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:24 PM This has been difficult to watch. Where are Hogan, Rock or Austin? Timone 08-15-2011, 10:26 PM yeah, very uninteresting. I don't think there's going to be another in-ring segment with Punk/HHH/Nash/whoever, so might as well turn it off. Timone 08-15-2011, 10:29 PM Stephanie is still hot, what, 4 kids later? Glenn 08-15-2011, 10:31 PM I was just thinking that she seems kinda Chyna-ish these days. #internetstud Timone 08-15-2011, 10:35 PM I can't seem to care about any of these other guys. Timone 08-15-2011, 10:43 PM I'm sticking around and waiting for something interesting to unfold, because I'm definitely not going to watch a bunch of third string scrubs on MNF. Pharaoh 08-20-2011, 08:01 AM The Waffle House comment is because Nash hated working house shows. The city he mentioned is one of TNA's best house show markets so it's a little shot at TNA on WWE Punk continues to be the best thing in the business and wherever they go with the whole story it should be awesome I personally loved the "you're the guy who called Eddie Guerrero a vanilla midget" bit because way back in the mid to late 1990's Nash, Hogan and Hall held a lot of power in WCW while HHH had (still does obviously) a lot of power in WWE... and it seemed at the time that guys like Eddie, Benoit, Jericho (and a guy like Punk) would never get a shot at being a featured talent. Cause being a featured talent for real = PPV bonuses, merchandise sales, possible crossover promotional gigs... And finally after years of bullshit it seems WWE "discovered" someone that could change the game... If they do this well enough this could be the next Attitude Era - even with a PG rating (I believe Denny mentioned it) Timone 08-22-2011, 09:19 PM Cena/Punk III tonight omg Timone 08-22-2011, 09:45 PM Eve Torres is hot. Time to scour the Tube for some old clips! DennyMcLain 08-24-2011, 10:15 AM WWE's allowing this bitch to ride a little too long. Typical. It's their bullshit -- tease us with free shows, then make us pay PPV $$$ to see the shit go down. The Kevin Nash thing is stupid. HHH should've already turned heel and reformed The Corporation. unless nash is slated to be the heavy within it. Also, why isn't anybody screaming REMATCH??? DrRay11 09-28-2011, 10:14 PM lol haven't watched since forever Pharaoh 09-30-2011, 07:50 AM The WWE dropped the fucking ball BIG TIME with the whole Punk/Cena story... To refresh: In the beginning Punk was the heel, the "voice of the voiceless" ripping Cena and suits a new arsehole with his "inside" comments, his "shoot" promos... all aimed at the hardcore internet fan but all "true". It's a known fact that the best fucking heels not only talk trash - they back it up. That's why "we" as fans hate them... cause they talk the talk and then walk the walk. Ric Flair is the prime example, HHH is probably the next best example. 2 straigh up heels that talked a lot of shit and backed it up... Punk threatens to not only beat Cena for the title but leave WWE with it "and go to Ring of Honor or New Japan"... So what happens? Cena "does the right thing" and refuses to win via screwjob when Vince and John Laurenitis show up and Punk DOES in fact win the title and leaves with it.... so far it's solid fucking gold and I couldn't see anyway for "WWE creative" to fuck it up... and then they went and fucked it up They dumped Vince as the on screen "boss", brought in HHH as the new "boss" and then brought Punk back after he was gone for a week. ONE week? WTF? How about you have HHH call him out a few times on RAW and Punk not answer at all? How about you "ask" the "WWE Universe" for their help in "locating" Punk? How about Punk goes around to the smaller organisations that WWE approves of (Ring of Honor and tiny independenets) or goes to the UK or Japan or ANYWHERE with his title belt and claims he's the Real World Champion, getting on tv and making himself known? Make it a "Where's Punk" situation where you have "fans" on twitter and facebook putting up pictures of Punk and his belt from around the world... all while the WWE machine marches on.... with Cena beating Rey Mysterio in the main event of Summerslam... but trying to bring Punk back because even they have to admit he's got the rightful title Hell Yeah! And easy to do. This way Punk would have been gone for long enough for people to give a shit and you create more interest via the internet for his return... which obviously would have come at the end of Summerslam when Cena beats Rey to claim that version of the belt... you simply have Punk walk out onto the stage and cut another kick ass promo about how nothing has changed even though HHH replaced Vince as "boss" and how it's still all about Cena... The next night on Raw you have the HHH/Punk confrontation... and if they want to include Nash here is where he fits in. Once you have Punk back (would be nice to get a realistic explanation for it...) and talking trash about Stephanie and HHH and his buddies for a few weeks Nash obviously would feel obligated to defend his friend once it's established HHH can't put his hands on Punk now he's the COO So now you have Nash defending HHH even though HHH doesn't want Nash to defend him... just like now? No fucking way... This time you have HHH happy as fuck that Nash wants to end Punk, cause HHH had to give Punk the world to get him back... more money, private jet, something huge... whatever... just make some shit up. Anyway Cena is still walking around with a title belt, so is Punk and Nash/HHH are out to end Punk... so HHH books Cena v Punk to unify the titles at Hell In A Cell We've left Alberto Del Rio out of this so far and I think that's a good thing. No need to further dilute the big storyline with another player. 3 sides to the story is all you need IMO. So... at HIAC Punk once again beats Cena... only to have Nash enter the Cell and fucking destroy him with the jacknife powerbomb... and here comes Del Rio to cash in his briefcase... but Cena stops ADR before he can cash in and hits the "Attitude Adjustment" .... show ends with 3 men in the ring: Punk as Champion on one side of the ring, out cold due to Nash ADR on the other side of the ring, out cold due to Cena and Cena standing tall in the middle of the ring... but with no title belt Pharaoh 09-30-2011, 08:13 AM So what happens next? HHH/Nash are obviously pissed at Cena because he fucked up their plans for ADR... Punk is happy as can be he's held up his end as the Real Champion... but is "conflicted" about Cena helping him and pissed the fuck off HHH/Nash/ADR And Cena is "upset" he's not the Champ but "happy" he once again "did the right thing" and stopped Punk from getting screwed... Obviously now you have the un-easy alliance between Punk and Cena v HHH/Nash/ADR and we can have tag matches and singles matches involving Punk, Cena, Nash and ADR on RAW as we head to Surivior Series... at this point The Rock is supposed to team with Cena on that show so.... and obviously they've had Miz and Truth get fired (stupid) So... with Miz and Truth still on the show they can join HHH/Nash/ADR as a team of 4 (HHH as COO can't put his hands on his employees) .... but Cena and Punk are not just walking into Survivor Series 2 vs 4... they recruit Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston to be their partners (needed to get beaten down constanly in the lead up to the match and to get pinned on PPV) but once HHH throws his hat into the ring and announces he's had enough of Cena and Punk ruining his plans and for ONE NIGHT ONLY he's going to hand the COO position over to John Larenitis so he can get into the ring and end this once and for all Cena/Punk/Bourne/Kofi need another partner... and (for ZBeau) "Who Better Than Kanyon?" The Rock wants in... He's got history with HHH and Nash and even though he's taking on Cena at the next WrestleMania and Punk has talked shit about him he's willing to set that aside to help them out... and we learn week by week that no one else wants to help Cena/Punk vs HHH, cause HHH is the "boss" and could make your life hell if he chose to... (why would Bourne and Kofi agree to team with Cena/Punk? Logically there is no reason for it. They could get fired by HHH for it) So at Survivor Series it's Rock, Cena, Punk, Bourne, Kofi v HHH, Nash, ADR, Miz and Truth... HHH gets Laurenitis to fire Bourne and Kofi before the bell .... it's logical he'd fire the other 3 too but HHH wants to kick their ass... Bourne and Kofi get the "you're fired" treatment cause HHH says "I've got no beef with you, you 2 were just stupid to volunteer" Obviously Miz and Truth get pinned (Cena pins Truth, Punk pins Miz) and it's 3 v 3... then Nash gets pinned by Rock.... ADR wants to bail but HHH threatens to fire him... except HHH can't ire him... Laurenitis is in charge remember? ADR and Laurenitis bail and leave HHH to take an ass kicking courtesy of The Rock and CM Punk.... Cena saves HHH! Of course he does - Cena is the hero type. He can't actually be the hero AND help 2 other guys beat up 1 guy... so he makes it 2 on 2 but only after a little while cause he's conflicted.... So... somehow HHH and Punk get dumped from the ring and we have our Rock/Cena staredown moment to close the show (security hit the ring or some shit) Pharaoh 09-30-2011, 08:35 AM What next? HHH is pissed the fuck off! With Nash at his side he calls Cena to the ring... to shake his hand. Blah blah blah... hate your guts but respect you and your values and shit... Punk comes out onto the stage and says this is all bullshit and that HHH, Cena and Nash are just finally showing everyone they've been in this together from the start against him... which Cena denies but Miz and Truth show up beside Punk and talk conspiracy some more.... before ADR and Laurenitis come out... which reminds HHH that he wants his COO title back cause he only signed over power to Laurenitis for ONE NIGHT ONLY... Laurenitis says he'd love to sign the COO role back over to HHH... but he's had a better offer!!! BOOM! Contenders for the role of COO = The obvious ones: Vince or Stephanie Not so obvious: Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff Foley is gone from TNA, Hogan and Bischoff can leave TNA as of earlyu October as their contracts expire.... Regardless of who the new COO is the fact remains it shouldn't be HHH.... So... on the RAW 2 weeks after Survivor Series we get the massive World Title Elimination Falls Count Anywhere main event of: Punk v Miz v Truth v Cena v HHH v Nash for Punk's title... it's a mega brawl, clusterfuck whatever with bodies flying everywhere... the fight remains in the ring, at ringside, down the aisle and on the stage.. no crowd shit and no backstage shit here... There has to be a big spot in this (think Foley off the Cell big) so.... Nash can powerbomb Miz through the stage to eliminate him... anyway... it's a big fucking brawl, the likes of which haven't been seen on WWE TV in years... and at the end of it we see Punk standing tall as Champion! until HHH fucking drills him with the sledehammer on the stage... ADR arrives with briefcase in hand and a referee by his side... drags Punk into the ring and BOOM! New Champion ADR... Now we're on our way to the Rumble and WrestleMania with ADR as the transitional heel Champion (he'll drop the title to Cena prior to Mania since Cena said him v Rock would be for the title): Cena v Rock at Mania already locked in HHH v Punk at Mania about to be locked in according to my booking ADR doesn't have an opponent yet in my Mania... but I've typed all this shit off the top of my head Glenn 09-30-2011, 09:04 AM I didn't read that, but it's great to see you around, P. Vinny 09-30-2011, 11:15 AM Damn straight! Pharaoh 10-01-2011, 07:39 AM I've been checking in every few days but there's not much progress on the lockout so I've got nothing to post. I read the thoughts on RAW and the whole Punk thing and just had to vent... The footy season here ends tomorrow and in that fantasy comp I was in I finished 129th out of 128,000+ people... I'm obviously very happy with how the season went though winning the $30,000 would have been better :) Here's hoping the lockout ends real fucking soon and we can get moving on fixing our shitty basketball team Timone 10-29-2011, 06:52 PM lol'd http://www.wwe.com/f/tout/image/2011/10/20111028_gm_jobposting.jpg?1319835588 How many times have you applied, P? Pharaoh 11-10-2011, 07:34 AM My pick for Raw GM = Foley... back to my show... ADR is now Champion, Cena vs Rock is starting to heat up as we head to the Royal Rumble and Punk is up against HHH/Nash... On the Raws between Surivor Series and the December PPV (what is it called?) you have promos between Punk and Nash/HHH Punk vs Nash happens at the December PPV and Punk wins by disqualification as HHH and Nash beat the shit outta him... HHH still refuses to "fight" Punk since Punk didn't win cleanly... Punk has to beat another old friend of HHH's... at the Rumble. On the Raws between the December PPV and the Rumble there are hints Punk might be taking on Shawn Michaels... but it ends up being Sean Waltman (X Pac/Syxx) who has been clean for a while now and has been getting his shit together.... Punk v X Pac.... Punk wins since Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas take out HHH and Nash at ringside... Punk + WGTT? Awesome! From January through to Mania we build to HHH v Punk but at the Elimination Chamber PPV we can have X Pac/Nash vs WGTT What else happens at the December PPV? ADR defends the title vs Cena... and beats him when The Rock's music hits at the worst possible time (for Cena)... Cena looks away from ADR to see if The Rock is coming to the ring and BOOM! Title belt to the head and ADR is disqualified and retains his title.... So on to the Rumble where it's Cena vs ADR again.. same thing happens when The Rock's music plays but Cena doesn't fall for it... except this time The Rock is coming to the ring... ADR tries to tell Cena... but instead ADR eats an "Attitude Adjustment" and Cena wins the belt for the 1,000,000th time.... only to turn around and see The Rock in the ring... BOOM! The Rock hits the Rock Bottom on Cena and does the People's Elbow just for shits and giggles... The Rock picks up the title belt, points to the WrestleMania sign hanging from the rafters and then points at the belt.... As for the Rumble itself... Sheamus wins it so he can challenge Mark Henry at Mania for the Smackdown title... who cares? Show closes with Sheamus pointing to the Mania sign hanging from the rafters... HHH's workout buddy is going to WrestleMania! Yawn! Mania Matches now established = Cena v Rock for the title HHH v Punk Sheamus v Henry v Daniel Bryan for Smackdown title (Bryan gets the underdog story and the win! Swerving the fans that thought Sheamus was bound to win the belt... Bryan won't hold it for long though... 2 months tops) Cody Rhodes vs John Morrison Kofi Kingston/Evan Bourne v The Awesome Truth v WGTT for the tag titles Dolph Ziggler vs Jack Swagger - turn Swagger face and make him the new Kurt Angle What about the Undertaker? How about Randy Orton? The Legend Killer? Can Orton do the impossible? Does anyone care? Taker will win no matter what but at least Orton could produce a good match.... 7 matches, throw in a women's match (Beth Phoenix v Nattie Neidhart would be worth watching) and it's done Fucking hell! Imagine if I actually cared about this shit and took more than 10 seconds to think about? How the fuck these wrestling companies aren't more popular is beyond me.... Pharaoh 11-19-2011, 10:52 PM Meanwhile over in TNA: The company is actually uses homegrown talent. Robert Roode, James Storm and AJ Styles are all in the main event story... and internet marks are complaining that these guys won't generate buyrates. So let me get this straight: The internet fuckheads whine and cry and bitch and piss and moan about TNA using former WWE stars in the main events of their shows... they complain about Hogan, Flair, Sting and Bischoff being all over the main event and getting "too much" television time. Vince Russo gets demoted from "lead" writer to just a normal writer, Bruce Pritchard (remember Brother Love? that's him!) takes over as "lead" writer and we get home grown TNA talent in the main event- something internet fan boys have "wanted" for years After finally getting what they want these internet diehard fans whine, bitch, piss and moan about it! WTF? No wonder Bischoff hates the internet fan! No wonder Vince McMahon does shit to piss them off and/or please them, depending on his goals! The vast majority of these idiots are never gonna be happy, regardless of what TNA or WWE do. Timone 11-30-2011, 05:14 PM I only tune into Raw every now and then to see what Dolph Ziggler and Punk are up to. Laurinaitis has really grown on me, too, because he's such a douche. I love it. http://i55.tinypic.com/11v38lk.jpg Pharaoh 12-02-2011, 11:44 PM I'm hoping they use John Laurenitis as a go-between... Foley has been awesome in that kind of role before and would be able to play off Cena, Punk, ADR and Ziggler without being a face or heel GM. Apparently John Morrison has left WWE... for lots of reasons. One being that his slut girlfriend Melina was fired and he didn't distance himself from her crazy comments about the company. Rumour and gossip claim Melina has shagged half the roster.... while being Morrison's girlfriend. So boys - hit the gym, go to wrestling school and one day you could play Pass-The-Diva-Round-The-Locker-Room And since Morrison is now a "free agent" you can expect him and Melina to arrive in TNA in approx 80 days. WWE will continue to pay his downside guarantee until then, which is probably close to $300k per year kdawg32086 12-30-2011, 11:55 PM Who's your pick for the return on 1/2/12? I think it's gonna be Vince...too reminiscent of that "Higher Power" thing they did back with the corporation. I don't buy that it's Jericho. Pharaoh 12-31-2011, 07:57 AM Who's your pick for the return on 1/2/12? I think it's gonna be Vince...too reminiscent of that "Higher Power" thing they did back with the corporation. I don't buy that it's Jericho. From what I'm ready on the internets it has to be Chris Jericho or the vast majority of the crowd will be pissed! When he first arrived in WWE/F they used the clock countdown as his way in... it ended during The Rock's promo and (if not for HHH and his bullshit) Chris Jericho would have been MADE that very night... instead he had to deal with all the usual Triple H crap but eventually overcame it.... Remember it was almost the year 2000 and the "Millenium Bug" was a hot topic... many people assuming that the date would be a problem... The Y2K bug... Jericho claimed he'd save the WWE and usher in a new age... When Jericho returned to WWE/F they used a clock again... which ended during the "Age of Orton" promo... so Jericho got involved in a major story straight away.... Remember it was the "Break the Code... Save Us Y2J" thing? He was going to save us from the "Age of Borton" and usher in a new age This time? It's more cryptic but the "saviour" thing has been mentioned. And 2012 is supposed to be THE END... The Mayan Calender, a New Age... Someone told me Jericho is playing his part on twitter, claiming he'll never "wrestle" for WWE again (they don't wrestle - they entertain. They are not wrestlers, they're superstars etc) This guy also told me that CM Punk is calling himself a "wrestler" on RAW... So long story short: It almost HAS to be Jericho... But he won't return as a good guy... he's returning to save us from the "false prophet" Punk! It might be Vince, it might be Undertaker or it might be someone new... But these videos don't have the usual "PG WWE creative team" gloss on them... not in any way and there are very few people who have the power to get this stuff through the "creative" environment without it getting touched up to some extent. IMO any Vince return would not be proceeded by this many videos... and I doubt they'd be as cryptic or as dark in tone. Undertaker can get anything through "creative"... since he deals directly with HHH and Vince. He does as he pleases and I'm sure he could get this kind of stuff through but there are still reports he won't wrestle at Mania due to injury! IMO "it begins" means "The End" is coming in 2012... the end of CM Punk... he's not the voice of the voiceless... Jericho has always been the Saviour... without him the "WWE Universe" has been prophetless... lol I hope it's Jericho... he reminds me why I was a fan for so long... of course he also reminds me that Randy Savage, Mr Perfect, Rick Rude, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Owen Hart are all dead AND Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat are all DONE but... If it's Jericho we can get interaction between him and Rock, him and Cena, him and Daniel Bryan, him and Miz, him and Ziggler, plus him and Punk... The Raw prior to WrestleMania you feature a promo between HHH and Undertaker to close the first hour/open the 2nd hour PLUS you put Cena vs Jericho as the main event... with Punk and Rock at ringside.... to close the show and continue into the "over-run".... If WWE did that and the ratings were still shit? I have no idea what they should do! Pharaoh 12-31-2011, 08:34 AM Brock Lesnar is now retired from UFC.... let the rumours begin... Pharaoh 01-01-2012, 03:50 AM LMAO - Chris Jericho's latest tweet? Apparently he claims Lesnar is the mystery man behind the 2-1-12 videos! kdawg32086 01-02-2012, 01:29 AM I think it's too easy if its Jericho. I was thinking Vince because the boy and girl could've been Steph and Shane. I don't know, I want it to be someone who isn't obvious. It would be great if it was a shocker and someone who nobody expeted showed up. Would be hilarious if it was Lesnar but I think Jericho knows everyone thinks its him and is trolling all the supposed "smarks". I personally hate "smarks" and want it not to be Jericho because it would make all of them wrong. Timone 01-02-2012, 01:48 AM I really hope it's Lex Luger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKFyI7pqqLg (I love when I get to post this.) Pharaoh 01-02-2012, 07:28 AM LMAO @ The Lex Express... Fun true story: That was the year Hulk Hogan returned and convinced Vince McMahon that WrestleMania can't end with a heel champion.... so Yokozuna beating Bret Hart ended up meaning nothing because Hogan beat 'Zuna in less than a minute to give the crowd the feel good moment! This was done simply because Hogan and Vince had an agreement - Hulk would lose the title to Bret Hart at SummerSlam, giving Bret Hart as much credibility as possible and crowning Bret as the leader of the new WWE/F Obviously Hogan went back on his agreement with Vince and WWF/E had to come up with some fast thinking... so Hogan didn't defend the title until King of the Ring - where he lost to Yokozuna thanks to a fireball from a camera man.... Bret Hart was pushed down the card a bit as Vince searched high and low for his best fake Hogan... Hello Lex Luger! A simple face turn and a shit load of marketing and BOOM! you have... well, WWF/E got a poor result! Luger never quite connected with the fans, who longed for Bret Hart! These fans had watched Hart develop over the years from tag team wrestler to World Champion and were not swayed by Luger.... So at the next WrestleMania Bret Hart beat Yokozuna for the world title while Luger faded into the background Not long to wait now for the "It Begins" to end lol If it's not Chris Jericho I'll be completely surprised... and disappointed. The only other option I'd want to see would be Vince himself - but I'm so tired of this GM/Authority figure bullshit! That scenario has been done to death and I'd love to watch a wrestling show where their is no GM or other Figurehead as an on-screen character. Timone 01-02-2012, 10:38 PM it's Jeribro. Timone 01-02-2012, 10:47 PM Okay, that was hilarious. I have no idea why, but it was. Trolled. Timone 01-02-2012, 10:55 PM Guy completely Andy Kaufman'd them. Pharaoh 01-03-2012, 06:37 AM He was a smart arse heel when he left... and they gave him an ovation normally reserved for the biggest faces in the business! The fact that he didn't say anything of note and really didn't do anything of note makes it awesome! When will the "smarks" learn? A lot of diehard fans on the internet are pissed off.... some are happy as can be... some don't know WTF is going on And that my friends is the point! Chris Jericho has a lot of people talking about him right now. He's getting more attention than Undertaker, Cena, HHH, The Rock and CM Punk.... he's getting more attention than Brock Lesnar! And we're only 3 months away from WrestleMania! LMAO! THAT is what it's all about! The man is brilliant! Glenn 01-03-2012, 10:38 AM https://www.facebook.com/pages/CWM-Championship-Wrestling-of-Michigan/184066751645052 lol Pharaoh 01-03-2012, 06:15 PM So now we wait for next Monday Night.... where Chris Jericho will cut a smart arse promo bashing the fans for their applause! He'll claim they really don't care about him - they care about Punk and Punk is a phony, a fake, a false prophet or whatever. Punk claims to be the "Best in the World at What I Do"... that was Jericho's line the last time he was in WWE. It's a natural feud and if you've been paying attention CM Punk is currently the #1 merchandise seller (Cena is #2!) and #2 face in the WWE (behind Cena) We all know who Cena is wrestling at WrestleMania.... we all think it's going to be HHH v Undertaker again.... so who does Punk "fight"? It can't be Orton or Daniel Bryan or Sheamus or Mark Henry or Christian or Big Show or Ziggler or Ryder. We're talking the World Title here and while Orton or Sheamus or Chistian probably deserve another title run the fact is they can get the Smackdown title! Lesnar isn't an option. He's not going to play 2nd fiddle to The Rock. They'd be better off having Brock show up on the Raw after Mania and challenging Taker for the following WrestleMania since they can build it up long term and just show promos of Taker doing his weird shit while Lesnar "trains" for the fight... Stone Cold was an option to face Punk - but he's not coming back to play 2nd fiddle to The Rock either. Take a wait and see approach on Punk v Austin since they seem to respect each other and actually like each other. So Jericho had to be it! There really isn't anyone else. WrestleMania card so far (planned - plans always change) John Cena v The Rock - Rock will pass the torch to Cena and put him over. WWE hopes this helps Cena get mainstream press HHH v Undertaker - Taker will win and HHH will go back behind the curtain for a long time.... but he won't retire Punk v Jericho - for the World Title Bryan v Orton (or Sheamus) - whomever wins the Rumble (Orton or Sheamus) will challenge Bryan for the Smackdown World Title Cody Rhodes v Goldust - brothers do battle and if Cody can get a quality match out of his bro he'll be moved on to bigger and better things in 2012 and the kicker: Shaquille O'Neal v The Big Show! Negotiations have already taken place and Show is one of those guys that it doesn't matter how much he loses to celebs or anyone else cause you can rebuild him in a month. No match set for Ziggler yet, or The Miz or R Truth or Zach Ryder. Maybe they do a tag match or something to get these guys a big payday Having a match on WrestleMania is THE biggest deal of the year - the pay is obviously better than any other PPV and WWE hopes that The Rock boosts the buyrate in a big way. Timone 01-05-2012, 01:51 AM http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/iffygriffey3/GIFS/HHH-Angry.gif Pharaoh 01-07-2012, 07:40 PM Random thoughts/angles to introduce or rebuild a character: 1) A 3-part interview segment where a certain character discusses his life, reasons for becoming a wrestler, motivations in the industry, goals etc. This is what WWE did with Mick Foley/Mankind way back when. Jim Ross conducted a "sit-down interview" with him, they used the piece to get over parts of his character... Foley didn't take the huge King of the Ring fall until much later. That huge fall DID do a lot for Foley's reputation, but prior to it you had his career in WCW and his promos from ECW that made him popular with the "smarks". The interview piece with Ross is what really got him over in WWE though... the bump off the Cell "merely" made him a "legend" 2) Assuming you have 2 guys that you want to get over as wrestlers, not entertainers you can put them in the opening match on Raw/Smackdown or Impact and have them put on a 30 minute match.... the match is so good half the locker room comes out to see the last 10 minutes. It would end in a "time limit draw". Throughout the remainder of the show you'd have some other wrestlers talk about what a "great" match it was to start the show and how "great" the 2 guys are... The next week you do it again.... and this time half the locker room comes out to watch the match from the start... with the other half coming out at the 15 minute mark... and again it would be a 30 minute draw. Again you have some other wrestlers talk about how great this match was, how the great the 2 wrestlers are throughout the rest of the show... The following week you bring out the 2 guys for an interview in the ring.... this sets up a PPV match. It's not for a title, or even a title shot. It's about pride. It's about proving themselves. 3) You start the show in the production truck with a badass demanding the producer "follow" him.... he's got shit to take care of tonight! You have this guy march through the backstage area, passing other wrestlers who steer clear... until some authority figure gets in his way. BOOM! The authority figure takes a punch to the head and goes down... and the badass continues his walk... we follow from behind as he walks through the curtain, no music, no video package on the big screen... he gets down to the ring, grabs a mic and... cuts a promo about why he's pissed, how he's been kept down, how the Champ is ducking him, how he been "wronged"... and he's not gonna take it anymore. He let's everyone know that from now on he's gonna do whatever the fuck he wants to do, whenever he wants to do it.. and if you get in his way you'll get fucked up. The follow up to this is that once a week he starts taking out other guys - all the headline stars that are getting World Title shots... he's on a mission and he's looking to eliminate every guy that stands between him and the Champ. Now, if you've got a Cena type as Champ he'd step up and meet the challenge... cause it's the right thing to do. But if you have a heel champ like Robert Roode he has no reason to step up. He can keep facing other dudes and watch them get taken out one by one by this badass... so this works best with a heel Champ... It creates a situation where the heel Champ has nothing to gain by defending vs the badass.... but the badass won't stop until he's got a title shot. Can anyone stop the badass? Can the heel Champ keep ducking him? How long can you draw this out?If you draw it out for 12 months or longer you have a Heel Champ that is "smart" cause he's hung on to his belt so long and avoided the raging bull... but you also have this bull that is over in a big way cause people would want to see the showdown... Obviously the showdown is on PPV... and you have the badass win the title.... so now the hunter becomes the hunted... and every guy he took out along the way is wanting revenge... This is a long term build that basically writes your World Title fued for at least 3 years... if not longer if you're smart enough. Am I bored? Yep DrRay11 01-09-2012, 04:14 PM http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/iffygriffey3/GIFS/HHH-Angry.gif lol'd Timone 01-09-2012, 10:41 PM JERICHO!! Still rocking that jacket. Timone 01-09-2012, 11:15 PM I like Jericho, Punk, Ziggler and Laurinaitis, but I'm really not feelin' everything else... the Kane/Ryder/Cena stuff especially. Weird. Will say that at least the product isn't so dull anymore. Glenn 01-12-2012, 03:13 PM http://www.tmz.com/2012/01/12/mustache-org-devastated-by-hulk-hogans-shaving-plans/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter#.Tw8-sW9SSFk Pharaoh 01-17-2012, 07:28 PM Surprised you guys haven't mentioned Funkasaurus yet... Brodias Clay gets his long awaited debut and it's Rikishi II I have to say I enjoy reading the reactions of the internet fans. Some whine and complain while others think it's awesome. What most don't realise is that you can't the entire company can't be all serious wrestling bullshit. Some stuff needs to be funny to break up the show. Who the fuck wants to watch a 2 hour wrestling show that treats it as a serious sport? If fans wanted to watch serious sport they'd watch the UFC (and they do lol) WWE and wrestling in general is about over the top characters - always has been. Sure the "serious" guys can have their 30 minute matches and entertain in the ring but that alone won't make people care... fans have to buy into your character. You can be like CM Punk or Steve Austin. You can be like John Cena or Randy Orton (Hogan and Savage II) or you can be like Kane or The Undertaker. But the show needs guys like Funkasaurus and Santino. It needs to have stupid segments inbetween the "serious" stuff. You can't just have each segment run into the next - cause if you do that you don't give the fans time to process what they've seen... it would be a never ending stream of "serious" consequences... and when the show was over the fans wouldn't remember half of it! (TNA I'm looking at you) But fans will remember Santino. And Funkasaurus. The same way they remember Rikishi or Too Cool or Kamala or Koko B Ware As for Chris Jericho.... LMAO! He still hasn't explained his return or the videos that proceeded it! And the people love him anyway! Timone 01-17-2012, 08:03 PM I actually agree with all of that. I don't really have much of an opinion on the Funkasaurus stuff myself, but it most definitely has a place in wrasslin'. Pharaoh 01-17-2012, 09:36 PM It's really not that hard to structure a 2 hour show and leave little breaks inbetween the serious shit. In general what the WWE does on RAW is: 1st Quarter Hour = the main storyline at the time, or of the night 2nd Quarter Hour = some throw away shit + a match + an interview 3rd Quarter Hour = a match, some throw away shit + an interview 4th Quarter Hour = important angle and/or match that runs into the 5th Quarter Hour 5th Quarter Hour = 4th quarter ends and we then get throw away shit 6th Quarter Hour = throw away shit, a match + an interview 7th Quarter Hour = throw away shit, interviews/recap for main event 8th Quarter Hour = Main Storyline at the time or for the Night Over-run = conclusion of 8th Quarter Hour Sometimes you don't get the interview, instead you get a recap of other shit that either already happened that night or happened on Smackdown or happened in the recent past. But the vast majority of the show is throw away shit because they really on focus on a few main stories at any one time. Right now the focus is Punk v Johnny Ace (with Ziggler featured) and Cena v Kane (Ryder features here). Jericho returning is the only other main story but that doesn't mean you leave guys with nothing to do. Miz and R Truth are building their story in bits and pieces, Swagger just won the US Title, the tag belts just changed hands (because of Evan Bourne's 2nd Wellness violation) and Funkasaurus debuts... Lots of "stuff" happened on RAW.... but not much of it means anything... depending on how they continue the story. But if you missed RAW then you didn's miss much... and that's how you continue to produce 50 weeks of RAW every year. Little bits and pieces of stories but very few bombshells or shocks... Those should be saved for PPV Pharaoh 01-17-2012, 09:59 PM And the reason WWE produces a show like that is because... they can They have no competition. They have no reason to give away good stuff for free because if you currently watch RAW then you will likely continue to watch RAW regardless of what they produce or don't produce. Is that good for their business? No it's not. But it's not bad for business either. They have their core audience and they cater to them. Not every wrestler will get over to the extent that Hulk Hogan did with the kids or the way Austin did to those same kids who were then late teens/early 20's. Those people now are 30+ with a wife and kids of their own... The wife doesn't want to turn on WWE and see a guy like Austin flipping the bird, drinking beer and beating up Authority figures. That wife wants to turn on WWE and see Captain America John Cena fight the good fight and defeat the evil villian... But good ol' Dad? He wants to see guys like Punk talk shit, back it up and cause chaos! Dad wants to be reminded why he loves wrestling in the first place. Guys like Bryan, Jericho, Rhodes, Ziggler and even Orton to some extent help Daddy remember that he's been a fan for 20 years. Mum? Other than Cena she has Rey Mysterio (Sin Cara was supposed to have next), Funkasaurus, Santino, Kofi Kingston etc You keep Mum and Dad hooked for another 5-10 years and then BOOM! Miz becomes Austin II, Cena becomes The Rock II, Sheamus becomes HHH II and "WOW! It's the Attitude Era" lol Unless something drastic changes in the next 5 years WWE will continue to produce the shit they produce now because it's smart business. Better business would be to searching far and wide for the next big things. The guys who, like Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, can adapt to pro wrestling very quickly and can change the game. I'm sure there are quite a few MMA guys who aren't that great at it but who could become good wrestlers. I'm also sure there are some reasonable actors out there that know they will never make it big on TV or in movies but are or were wrestling fans and would love to join the WWE. Take the actor that can talk, put him with the MMA guy you can't and BOOM! Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman II. And if you've been paying attention today you'll notice a lot of [insert name here] II comments... Which begs the question: Is the pro wrestling business cyclical because that's just the way it is... or is pro wrestling cyclical because it recycles the same gimmicks time after time? Wrestling as a business has been changed TWICE in the last 28 years... McMahon's national (international) expansion in 1984 and when Bischoff took over as WCW Executive Vice President AND put Nitro on the air in 1996. The format WWE uses on RAW is Bischoff's format for Nitro. The format TNA uses on Impact is Bischoff's format from 1996! Can you believe that shit? 16 years and the business hasn't changed! Even if you claim the Nitro/RAW/NWO/Attitude Era ended in 2001 that's still 11 years since significant change effected the pro wrestling business. The fucking world has changed an awful lot in 11 years... maybe pro wrestling needs to change too? Pharaoh 01-18-2012, 08:47 AM http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/columns/219681 I believe the first question is about who booked what company and when... If you read it you'll see that the same names appear time after time after time outside WWE - therefore creating this situation where the same stories are told over and over again a few years apart because the booker is back in power and has a few trusty angles he knows will work - because they worked before! And within WWE everyone answers to Stephanie and HHH. They answer to Vince. So reagrdless of which writer wrote which segment what you'll get in WWE is the official stamp of approval by Vince, HHH or Steph or all 3. The big names in power in TNA = Bischoff, Hogan, Bruce Pritchard and Vince Russo. Jim Cornette books Ring of Honor. Gabe Sapowsky books Evolve and DragonGate USA Those guys have been booking wrestling for the past 20 fucking years! Time for a change... Timone 01-20-2012, 09:39 PM Tried watching SmackDown! and it just doesn't hold my interest. Too dull. Fuck this, I'm going to the Dollar Theater. Laugh if you must, buk. Timone 01-29-2012, 08:04 PM Steel Cage. Such a classic, you guys! Ha. Pharaoh 01-30-2012, 08:10 AM WWE swerved everyone by floating the rumour that all Rumble entrants would be eliminated when the clock started to count down to #30... and #30 would be Chris Jericho! LMAO! The internet was abuzz with opinion about it... and Jericho entered at #29.... and lost to Sheamus! Triple H's workout buddy gets a new push, as a good guy.... likely vs Daniel Bryan! They still have the Elimination Chamber PPV to have Jericho v Punk heat up if that's what they intend to do... and other than Jericho there isn't really anyone for Punk to square off against... I still wish they did a Jericho/Rock v Cena/Punk kind of thing.... it would have awesome promo segments Pharaoh 02-01-2012, 08:47 AM Did you guys watch Raw? Punk vs Daniel Bryan.. Champ v Champ... ROH alum vs ROH alum... Obviously the internets damn near shutdown due to the mass hysteria this match induced... too much cock sauce apparently! Timone 02-01-2012, 09:00 PM I vatched. That was a pretty good match. Timone 02-22-2012, 06:26 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JEXWE5NgAo Timone 03-05-2012, 09:42 PM Man, Eve is the hottest chick in the E bar none. Timone 03-05-2012, 09:48 PM WTF ZACK, SHE'S JUST USING YOU GET A BRAIN, MORAN Pharaoh 03-06-2012, 06:10 AM HHH v Taker = Hell in a Cell Rock v Cena Jericho v Punk Old school fans, Attitude Era fans and smarks rejoice... Vince is trying everything he can to get you to purchase the WrestleMania PPV... Vince has gone so far as to enlist Shaq in an effort to get NBA fans to buy it too Timone 03-12-2012, 11:26 PM This Cena/Rock feud is horrible and I honestly can't wait for it to be over in about 3 years. I miss the days of bukdow vs. Zip Goshboots. Pharaoh 03-13-2012, 09:33 AM WWE actually expects the crowd at WrestleMania to be split between Cena and Rock... "But it's in Miami!" I hear you say... Welll, ummm, yeah.... WWE creative are fucking idiots Fans above the age of 14 WANT Cena to turn heel on The Rock - to do something Austin would do.... IMO all this has done is show casual fans how weak Cena is compared to Austin and Rock.... This BS "fans can choose" crap doesn't wash with me. I WANT to hate Cena... I already do! Just let me enjoy it! IF WWE turned Cena heel fans over the age of 15 would fucking LOVE it! They probably end up cheering the guy if it was done well... in which case you turn Cena face about 12-18 months later! The question is: Can WWE deal with Cena being heel for 12-18 months? The answer so far is obviously no And in all honesty WWE don't need to do shit to please the fans - you watch cause there is no other company to watch... even though TNA has been putting on solid TV for months now they still suck at promoting their show/business... until that changes and people take notice of TNA Vince can produce shite shows and get away with it Timone 03-21-2012, 03:30 PM Hahahaha, what the fuck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffcp-b8wGwk&feature=player_embedded#! Pharaoh 03-23-2012, 08:41 AM WrestleMania is all wrestling fans are talking about... but if you actually are interested now might be a good time to tune into TNA. Robert Roode as the chicken shit/dick heel... his former tag team partner James "Not Stone Cold but drink beer too" Storm is the #1 contender and they'll rip it up at Lockdown... a PPV where every match is inside a steel cage. Angle vs Jeff Hardy in a cage? On that PPV too Vince Russo was demoted months ago - replaced by Brother Love Bruce Pritchard (I belive I mentioned that)... now Russo is completely out of the company! Pritchard has done a pretty good job of going old school with TNA... logical booking and less stupid shit = quality product. Yet no one but their hardcore 1.1 million fans watch every week! Spike TV should be promoting the company... but I guess they'll be stuck with those 1.1 million viewers until they can somehow catch lightning in a bottle (Hogan, Austin, Rock, Brock, Goldberg type star) Timone 03-23-2012, 11:55 PM Sorry for the Twitter stuff, P, but this is pretty funny: Chris Jericho @IAmJericho Hanging with your sister huh? RT @CMPunk Finally watching @WalkingDead_AMC !!! Jericho plays such a great douche. So awesome. Pharaoh 03-24-2012, 08:57 AM He is a great heel... and actually enjoys the role The mere fact he is ADORED by hardcore internet fans yet the boo him out of the arena shows the love Jericho gets from the hardcore fans... casual fans don't really know how he got to the WWE/F but hardcore fans do He's had great matches, great promos... IF WCW treated him differently when they brought him in he could have been anything in the business. Bischoff actually said to him that WCW viewed him as their Shawn Michaels... then WCW stuck him on the undercard with no gimmick - just a "meat and potatoes, white meat" babyface (= plain as can be good guy) He could have come in as part of the NWO... with Hall and Nash... made it a group of 4 to start off with... but he wasn't connected and had no allies in WCW... which is part of why his WCW stuff is so awesome. They told him how long he was allowed to talk... gave him the few points they wanted to get across... and let him roll. Nobody had a clue what he was doing... and he built a massive battle with Dean Malenko without Malenko actually on TV! and of course the whole Goldberg thing... though Goldberg bitched and whined and got it canned because "he doesn't do comedy" Jericho v Goldberg would have made WCW millions - but they never had a match! Timone 03-27-2012, 04:17 AM Even Vin would dig this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBS627x-D2U&feature=player_embedded Vinny 03-27-2012, 03:24 PM Hahaha, solid! Timone 04-01-2012, 02:11 PM i watch the wrestlemania and party like the legend, not like no good raisin balls Pharaoh. Timone 04-01-2012, 07:21 PM how does this company justify putting Sheamus over Daniel Bryan in 15 FUCKING SECONDS OR WHATEVER IT WAS?? I'd be pissed if I ordered this shit. Timone 04-01-2012, 07:24 PM ^ April Fool's, I guess. They'll give this Kane/Orton garbage 40 minutes, lol. Timone 04-01-2012, 07:26 PM There were a couple "Boring!" chants for these two dumbasses. Fantastic. This is horrible. Timone 04-01-2012, 07:31 PM Methinks Team Johnny wins and Laurinaitis gives Bryan his rematch tonight. Meh, no one cares. Fuck this. I'm going to watch a REAL SPORT, FOR STRAIGHT PEOPLE, LIKE MMA!!!!!1 Timone 04-01-2012, 08:02 PM HELL IN A CELL WITH JR ON COMMENTARY NEXT, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES Timone 04-01-2012, 08:51 PM That was an incredible match. I felt last year's was overrated, but this was all that and a bag of chips. Wait, WHY AM I STILL POSTING IN THIS THREAD?! FAKE AND GAY!! Timone 04-01-2012, 08:52 PM I think Triple H is dead. Game over. FUCK, STOP POSTING IN HERE!!! Timone 04-01-2012, 10:56 PM Rock goes over. Didn't predict that, to be honest. Very good match. Cena's character gets a lot more interesting after this, hopefully. Maybe he takes some time off and comes back, defeating Rock in the rematch at SummerSlam or some shit. So fake. So gay. Timone 04-01-2012, 11:02 PM My inner mark came out a bit. So pooped. Bye. Timone 04-02-2012, 10:27 PM Hahaha, this crowd is great. Must mean most of the people aren't from Florida. Their decision to have Sheamus squash Bryan like that is biting them on the ass. Timone 04-02-2012, 11:09 PM LESNAR OMFG!!!! MARKING OUT Timone 04-02-2012, 11:12 PM Holy shit, this has been the best Raw in forever. I think I'm a fan again. Come at me bro. Pharaoh 04-03-2012, 09:21 AM lmao... the funniest page in this whole thread. Nothing wrong with being a mark for pro wrestling ZBeau As someone who has followed it for a long time I found the results of WrestleMania rather odd.... and thought Raw was very interesting... Where they go from here over the next few months should be worth watching... apparently Brock Lesnar has signed a 1 year deal, will work 20-25 dates at this stage (approx twice per month) so expect to see him live on Raw every 2 weeks or so. Obviously if he agrees to do more dates WWE can arrange that but the rumour mill claims it's 1 year and limited dates Timone 04-03-2012, 02:43 PM This is a pretty good way of getting this guy goin'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZcwPGLqQ9I WHAT DOES ACCOUNTABLE MEAN?! Timone 04-05-2012, 09:54 PM Watching "iMPACT Wrestling" for like the first time ever. This is going to suck. Mickie James has always been a looker though. Pharaoh 04-06-2012, 02:15 AM You picked the wrong episode apparently... The focus on Hulk Hogan is a shame 5 steps forward, 3 steps back as usual with TNA The sooner they get rid of Hogan, Sting and Flair as on screen characters the better... but if they do that who will buy their TV show internationally? That's the drama for TNA - they make a truck load of money selling their show worldwide... and sell it on the back of Hogan, Sting, Flair, Bischoff, Kurt Angle, Ken Anderson, Jeff Hardy and Jeff Jarrett If they only had Roode, Storm, Styles, Samoa Joe etc to sell the product they'd get less money. They really need someone to catch on like CM Punbk did last (US) summer... someone who can talk extremely well and get some attention. Timone 04-06-2012, 09:39 PM legitimately cracking up at this Damien Sandow dude's promo. This guy is going to be money. Timone 04-06-2012, 09:40 PM http://www.fcwwrestling.info/images/talent_lg/sandow_lg1.jpg Timone 04-09-2012, 09:17 PM Cena comes out, slaps Lesnar, gets taken down and busted open legit. Pull apart ensues. Dig shit like that. WWE's on the ball right now. Timone 04-09-2012, 09:19 PM Call my mama, Brodus. My work clothes need washing. Timone 04-09-2012, 09:34 PM Cena's face looked awful. That's what you get when you put a FAKE & GAY wrestler up against someone that comes from a REAL & STRAIGHT sport. Would have worked so much better had Brock not been a pro wrestler before going to MMA. Timone 04-09-2012, 09:47 PM They could have put Iggy & the Stooges instead of The Three Stooges on and I still would have thought that sucked. Timone 04-09-2012, 09:51 PM Lord Tensai looks good, but this isn't going to go over with the crowd at all. Expecting this character to be scrapped shortly, sadly. Timone 04-09-2012, 10:12 PM Punk needs to do something about the bags under his eyes. Get some sleep, bro. This feud is kinda lame right now. Timone 04-09-2012, 10:28 PM Del Rio's fine by me once he gets in his underwear and starts to fake fight other dudes, but he's about as interesting as watching paint dry when he does anything else. Timone 04-09-2012, 10:59 PM You know, if someone tuned in to the show, saw Otunga's body drenched in baby oil and said "This is gay," I wouldn't blame 'em. Timone 04-09-2012, 11:05 PM I would commend Brock on his ability to play a complete d-bag, but I don't think he's doing much acting. I like this. Lame show though. Timone 04-10-2012, 02:59 PM Live SmackDown! Blast from the Past edition tonight. Expect more dumb posts from me, because I'm probably going to watch. Which posters from WTFDetroit's past will make an appearance?! Tune in tonight and find out! Timone 04-10-2012, 08:58 PM Bryan is such an awesome heel. Timone 04-10-2012, 09:05 PM This segment is fucking boring. That's all I've got. Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:12 PM I applaud you for keeping this up. kdawg would be proud Timone 04-10-2012, 09:14 PM This show is fucking awful. Straight garbage. I can't even try to be funny, because there's nothing worth making a joke about. Timone 04-10-2012, 09:16 PM ^ Actually, it's just garbage. Nothing about pro wrestling is straight. Timone 04-10-2012, 09:20 PM Damien Sandow: "Let me enlighten you." Timone 04-10-2012, 09:21 PM Oh boy, I hope Cowboy Bob Orton didn't get his arm broken again. Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:24 PM What about Terry Funk? Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:26 PM I think Harley Race is going to get pushed to the moon again soon. Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:38 PM Did you know: Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka's real name was... (James Edward Reiher) Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:39 PM Checking out the Hall of Fame http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWE_Hall_of_Fame Timone 04-10-2012, 09:41 PM I've gotten zero enjoyment out of this show so far, but Dusty always cracks me up. Let's see how this goes. Timone 04-10-2012, 09:41 PM Checking out the Hall of Fame http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWE_Hall_of_Fame If I remember correctly, they even inducted Vince's limo driver. Can't make that shit up. Timone 04-10-2012, 09:42 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHSDPkV7UHI Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:42 PM In April, 2011, Graham requested his name to be removed from the Hall of fame, saying "It is a shameless organization to induct a bloodthirsty animal such as Abdullah The Butcher into their worthless and embarrassing Hall of Fame and I want the name of Superstar Billy Graham to be no part of it." Glenn 04-10-2012, 09:44 PM Might have to slide over to the old school thread for a bit tonight. Timone 04-10-2012, 09:45 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP69wndwMqM Timone 04-10-2012, 09:51 PM Finkel will never not be awesome. Timone 04-10-2012, 10:00 PM I usually watch these shows indifferently, but last night was lame and tonight was just brutal. Pharaoh 04-11-2012, 07:45 AM Did you know: Vince McMahon signed Dusty Rhodes and gave him the "common man" gimmick with the polka dot tights and all because he was SURE it would FAIL! Yes, Vince McMahon spent a huge amount of money signing his competitors #1 babyface in order to RUIN him! Unfortunately for Vince (or fortunately - depends on your POV) Dusty got over HUGE as the "common man" and they kind of gave him a mini-push Or did you think they teamed Dusty up with Sapphire because it was a sure fire winner? DrRay11 04-12-2012, 06:44 PM Watched Wrestlemania. Everything sucked except for Taker/HHH. Timone 04-19-2012, 09:19 PM haha, go to the WWEFanNation YouTube channel. Some doofus fucked up and accidentally uploaded a video to the account or something. Comments are allowed (WWE usually disables them) and they're priceless. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:01 PM Just turned on something called "Ring of Honor" wrestling. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:03 PM Holy low budget. Reminds me of Georgia Championship Wrestling from the days of my youth. Timone 04-28-2012, 11:04 PM Hah, I don't get that yet. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:04 PM #DemBoys Lots of Union Jack flags flying. Of course, they're "fighting" two black wrwstlers. Playing the racism card big time Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:05 PM Also, I'm drunk and not fixing typos tinight. Timone 04-28-2012, 11:05 PM You're actually watching and posting about it? YES! YES! YES! Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:05 PM Hah, I don't get that yet. It's ona channel called "The CW 7" here. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:07 PM I'm supposed to be working, have a bunch od shit that needs to be done for Monday morning. (performance reviews) Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:07 PM Really fat referee. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:08 PM One of them is apparently named "Big Brother Jay" Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:09 PM Not sure if these guys are supposed to be rednecks or skinheads. Kinda look like both. Which is odd. Timone 04-28-2012, 11:12 PM Watch for Davey Richards. I think he's the champ or something. He's a goof. <---hasn't watched Ring of Honor. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:12 PM One of these announcers seems familiar. (Kevin Kelly?) Maybe WCW? Never really watched that much. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:13 PM Bunch of taped promos being run now. Really bad acting. Like watching public access tv. Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:15 PM Vinny Marseglia: lots of trashy tats Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:15 PM From Flint, Michigan... RHINO!!!!!!! Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:17 PM I guess it's Detroit, not Flint Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:18 PM That match lasted 15 seconds, lol Glenn 04-28-2012, 11:19 PM Okay, commercial, lost interest Timone 04-28-2012, 11:22 PM My cousin, who's a (terrible) wrestler on the Michigan indyz, is a good friend of Rhino's, IIRC. Timone 04-28-2012, 11:23 PM No, not Matt Lentz. Timone 04-29-2012, 10:14 PM Sheamus/Bryan was awesome and Punk/Jericho was a classic. I feel bad for not paying for this. Maybe next month... Timone 04-29-2012, 10:36 PM Lesnar is beating Cena to a bloody pulp right now. Where's my mom to remind me that it's all fake? Literally crying right now. I don't want to go into 3rd grade Monday morning thinking my hero, John Cena, has been murdered. Timone 04-29-2012, 10:52 PM I found myself legitamately rooting for Cena and then they PUT HIM OVER. What is the sense of having Cena beat Lesnar after all of that? WWE for you. Timone 04-29-2012, 10:53 PM I butchered "legit" so badly, I know. Brain fart. Timone 04-29-2012, 10:55 PM Seems like it was Vince's way of saying "Fuck you" to UFC. HEY VINCE, THEIR SPORT IS REAL! YOURS IS FAKE AND GAY!!!!!!! Timone 04-29-2012, 10:59 PM *remembers he didn't pay for this, LOL!!* Vinny 04-29-2012, 11:06 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVCSN5sg5eQ Timone 04-29-2012, 11:08 PM It especially doesn't make sense if Cena's getting time off. Man, whatever. P will have more to say about this. Timone 04-30-2012, 09:20 PM If a broken arm is somehow going to prevent HHH from banging Stephanie for a lil' bit, I'd most certainly be willing to step in for him. Timone 04-30-2012, 09:29 PM Sure, HHH is much bigger and muscular than I am, but I'm no slouch. I also have a normal sized nose. Timone 04-30-2012, 09:34 PM Miz is about as uninteresting as it gets. If WWE wrestlers were WTFDetroiters, he'd most definitely be "SotoJ" Timone 04-30-2012, 09:37 PM Layla's gorgeous. I can overlook the fact that she's a former Heat dancer and has in all likelihood been porked by Dwyane Wade. Timone 04-30-2012, 09:45 PM Not a fan of Big Show, but I'm glad that he's facing Jericho instead of Kofi Kingston. I'd rather watch Gla and Pharaoh square off in the Rondo thread yet again than see another Jericho/Kofi match... Timone 04-30-2012, 10:04 PM I love how late the other wrestlers were to save HHH from Lesnar. Wrestling. Timone 04-30-2012, 10:11 PM Jack Thwagger is the worst. What a retart. Definitely Balkan. Timone 04-30-2012, 10:17 PM THE VIPER THE APEX PEDOPHILE RANDY ORTON!!!!!!!!!!! Timone 04-30-2012, 10:22 PM Michael Cole announcing the Bellas' firing on the air. Either he's a dick or the whole firing is fake. Given that it's wrestling, I'm inclined to believe the latter SINCE EVERYTHING IS FAKE. Damn, I love Rosa Mendez. Timone 04-30-2012, 10:32 PM Aw sunuva bitch, the Colons just lost the tag team titles. I hope Rosa doesn't disappear with them. Timone 04-30-2012, 10:33 PM KANE VS KHALI, UP NEXT. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lfteul9Op31qeq65s.gif Timone 04-30-2012, 10:54 PM Bryan vs Punk at Over the Limit. Nice. Timone 04-30-2012, 11:01 PM this show is barely watchable. Par for the course. |
