Didn't we have a thread on that once? For me '87 was my first year of tough playoff losses. The Pistons losing to the fucking Celtics was crushing and then the Tigers lost to the Twins. '95 was painful as a Wings fan. Not even ten years earlier they were the worst team in the league with this huge Stanley Cup drought. Then they were ok and then they were good. They finally get to the finals and lose like that to the fucking Devils.

It used to be that painful playoff losses were a part of a team's growing up. I guess it's not really that way anymore.
