Did anyone catch American Gladiators last night?

I loved that show growing up and even in college my roommates and would watch reruns.

I might be in the minority here but I loved it last night. Same basic premise with some interesting new events. Plus the Gladiator chicks are WAY hotter than 15 years ago. Hogan sucks at announcing and it seems like the competitors are fed lines but its still great. This got added to my Season Pass on TIVO 10 minutes into the first episode.

I enjoyed it, but they need to go back to the original theme song. They can remake it, but that song made the show.

The chick competitors were awful, however. It's not that hard to run the eliminator without crying.

Haha, the chick that fell down like 5 times and was hanging onto the top of the ramp was BRUTAL. Talk about an epic collapse. The best part is that shes a "Life Coach" and failed miserably. Good luck dealing with that for the rest of your life.

I recently got into "Lost." That is the best TV show I've ever followed, I highly recommend it. You can watch every episode for free on ABC.com as well. Now that I've finished all of that and it won't be on again until January, I'm looking for something new to get into. Heroes, perhaps.

I love Lost. It gets slow from time to time, but it's still very smart and addicting. I wouldn't touch Heroes, though. The first season was very good, but it's lost its way since then.

Yeah, I've heard that. I have a feeling no matter what show I watch next it won't match how Lost hooked me.

I love Lost too, I think I'm going to start re-watching them all to get ready for January.

Check out HBO's the Wire if you haven't yet, it absolutely blew me away. The depth and the characterization spread across the 5 seasons is amazing.

I thought last night was good. After a very bad season six, I'm excited to see how they get things moving with an extra year of planning for season seven.

We really like it so far. They had a show in December that was good and it's on again tonight.

This is the first time we've watched it so we can't compare it to other seasons.

Well in that case let me catch you up to speed:

You should catch up on the seasons. They're addicting as hell. Just make sure you have time to watch them - because if you watch one episode, chances are you'll watch 10. Make a weekend out of watching one season.

It's funny, I love sports, but I have trouble watching some games because of non-stop commercials. I find myself changing the channel for a while when the Pistons play for a minute, take a time out, play for another minute, TV timeout, play for 30 seconds, opponent takes a timeout.

Some days I just don't have the attention span for it, especially if I'm just not in the mood.

I'm usually juggling about 3 other things while I watch a game, but I like the fact that I can walk away for 10 minutes and jump right back in.

I don't have the luxury of digging in for uninterrputed tv, the homelife is quite hectic.

I do enjoy those one hour shows on cults, casinos and the mafia on MSNBC, A&E, Bravo, etc.

Like it or not, you'd have to give the creator props for being inventive. Most of the shows today are stupid reality shows that have no imagination. The whole concept of a season long show that only lasts 24 hours is pretty crafty. I have to think when the creator pitched this to people they were like WTF, that will never work.

Rescue Me on DVDs. This show's great if you haven't seen it before. It can be painful to watch sometimes though, Dennis Leary's character just crashes and burns, and just when you think he's hit rock bottom, he falls down some more.

I'm watching anything NOT having to do with the inauguration. I'm sure all of the highlights will be played ad nauseum, and available on YouTube for eons to come. I know someone who's seeing it live, even.

I don't get Prison Break that way either (only seen one episode). What happens when they break out? What's left to show?

I'm not saying either show is bad (don't watch them). I'm more looking for an answer.

As for Prison Break, I was a faithful watcher from the beginning but this season has been ludicrously stupid. I am glad they are finally canceling it although I will miss Dr. Tancredi immensely.

My sister in law watches lost. She said some were rescued and some not. That's what didn't make sense to me. Why wouldn't the rescued people just tell everyone where the rest of them are?
