Publicist: Actress expecting Brady baby

BOSTON - Actress Bridget Moynahan, former girlfriend of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, is pregnant and Brady is the father, Moynahan's publicist said Monday.

The glamorous pair split up late last year after a three-year relationship. Brady, a two-time Super Bowl MVP, has since been seen with lingerie model Gisele Bundchen, and media outlets have reported the two are dating.

A Dec. 15 statement by Moynahan's publicist said Moynahan and Brady parted ways several weeks earlier.

On Monday, Moynahan's publicist, Christina Papadopoulos, said in a statement to The Associated Press that the actress "is over three months pregnant. Former boyfriend Tom Brady is the father."

"Privacy and consideration is appreciated at this time," the statement said. "No further comments will be made."

The pregnancy was first reported by the New York Post on Sunday. The Post quoted Papadopoulos as saying the actress was feeling "healthy and excited."

Messages left by The Associated Press with Brady's agent, Donald Yee, were not returned Monday.

Patriots spokesman Stacey James told the AP: "I think it would be inappropriate to comment."

Moynahan, 35, has appeared in films such as "Coyote Ugly," "I, Robot" and the ABC television series "Six Degrees."

Brady, 29, who has led the Patriots to three NFL titles, was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2002.

Dear Fans,

I just wanted to reach out to all of you and explain some of the things that I have been faced with recently.

It's so funny how many stories are put out there about people. It's like we all want our side of the story out there as well, but at the end of the day only a few people care to hear what is really going on since the bad is always so much more interesting than the truth. I don't know why, but this is so weird to me. I used to be angry at the tabloids for printing horrible things about me, but now I try to just be numb to what I see. I saw Tyra Banks once get really upset and cry on her show because they made her look fat. We all want a certain image of ourselves out there, and at some point we all do really care what other people think or we wouldn't be here.

Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom. Till this day I don't think that it was alcohol or depression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD. I had a manager from a long time ago come in and try to direct me and my life after I got my divorce. I was so overwhelmed I think that I was in a little shock too. I didn't know who to go to. I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost.

This letter is to not place blame on anyone, although I do see the world with a completely different set of eyes now. Being in that vulnerable state and taken to dinners and parties with friends and finding out later you paid for everything was a huge learning lesson for me. I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life. You never know another persons intentions or what another person wants. I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with. I have had to cut so many people out of my life. It is so sad, because if anyone is a family person...it is me. When I was little I remember every night watching movies with my family and feeling so at peace. Dancing and singing all the time just like a little girl should. Now recently I find with my children that I want them to have that feeling all of the time. I am having to face a lot of things right now since I have children of my own. A lot of insecurities from when I was little are coming up again. It is like we are never good enough.

I know everyone thinks that I am playing the victim, but I am not and I hate what is going on right now so much. Maybe this is the reason for this letter...to maybe allow people to look at me differently. It is like when you are a real woman and say what you feel and how you think things are supposed to be, that people just say you are a "bitch."

I feel like some of the people in my life made more of some issues than was necessary. I also feel like they knew I was beginning to use my brain for a change and cut some ties, so they wanted to be in more control of my life than me. I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce. I think it was a bigger issue because I had not gone out in such a long time. I am 25 and I do still have a lot to learn, and I am going to make mistakes everyday, and I am sure every mistake I make will probably be on CNN or Good Morning America. I am only human people and I love you for still loving me.

I am sitting here at home and it is 6:25 and both of my sons are asleep. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Everyday is so surreal. Life in general is so surreal and crazy.

I just hope this letter made some of you think a little bit more of me and where I am coming from. I just want the same things in life that you want...and that is to be happy. It is just so weird because everyone has their own perception of me and how they think I really am. It is so weird how stories are told. There is your side, my side, and the truth. Somebody has to figure it out. I guess we will never really understand or figure out life completely. That's God's job. I can't wait to meet him...or her.

Apolo Anton Ohno stole the Dancing With the Stars trophy away from Dallas. And Mark Cuban may attempt to steal it back.

According to E! Online and the SI.com Web site (Sports Illustrated ), the Dallas Mavericks owner will compete in the fifth season of the ABC dancing competition. If so, he'll become the second competitor with strong Dallas ties to appear on the show, following Emmitt Smith's victory in Season 3. Mr. Cuban did not return an e-mail request for comment on Sunday.

Should he choose to compete on the show, it will mark his return to television and to ABC.

Mr. Cuban hosted 2004's The Benefactor, a reality show on which he pledged to give away $1 million. He also hosted The Mark Cuban Show , which aired locally on Channel 21.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban won't be off his feet for long if some reports are true. If Mr. Cuban proves to be quite a dancer, he may run into scheduling conflicts with his day job. Dancing With the Stars debuts Sept. 24, and the show runs through November.

The Mavericks' first preseason game is Oct. 9 against the San Antonio Spurs, and the team opens its regular season Oct. 31 at Cleveland.

The formal announcement of this season's Dancing With the Stars competitors comes Wednesday on Good Morning America.

Isiah explains double standard on slurs in Garden trial

Isiah Thomas was in a courtroom yesterday - not on the basketball court - but he was still playing games.

Jurors heard the Knicks coach say he wouldn't stand for a white man calling a black woman a "*****" - but wouldn't be as angry if the same words came from the mouth of a black man.

In a videotaped deposition played for the jury at fired Knicks exec Anucha Browne Sanders' sexual harassment trial, Thomas said he drew a distinction between whites and blacks when it came to the B-word.

Asked if he was bothered by a black man calling a black female "*****," Thomas said: "Not as much. I'm sorry to say, I do make a distinction.

"A white male calling a black female a ***** is highly offensive," Thomas said. "That would have violated my code of conduct."

"Maybe I shouldn't go there. ... A white male calling a black female, that is wrong with me. I'm not taking that. I'm not accepting that. ... That's a problem for me."

Browne Sanders was not taking it from anyone, not Thomas or his star guard Stephon Marbury.

Both are fending off her claims they used the B-word to describe her, an African-American once among the NBA's highest-ranking female executives.

"Now, have I ever used curse words around her? Yes, but at her? No," Thomas said on the video, which was projected on a big screen in a packed courtroom in the second week of the widely publicized trial.

Browne Sanders filed a $10 million suit against Thomas and Knicks' parent Madison Square Garden after the Knicks fired her in December 2005.

Thomas was so stung by the pretrial testimony he gave earlier this year that he made a rare statement as he left court.

"Please don't mischaracterize the videotape shown in court today," he pleaded, insisting, "I don't think it's right for any man to call a woman a '*****.'"

Marbury has admitted calling Browne Sanders a ***** but denied calling her a "black *****."

On the video, Thomas denied ever calling Browne Sanders "*****" or "ho," as she claims.

"Please, no," he said when asked. "Come on."

He also denied directing the F-word at her or that he was ever interested in her romantically.

"I'm not attracted to her, no," Thomas said, flashing an uncomfortable smile.

The videotape was clearly the highlight of a day in which Garden lawyers had hoped to embarrass Browne Sanders on the witness stand.

They spent six hours grilling her about questionable tax deductions she took and a trail of e-mails she sent to her boss in the waning days of her five-year stint in the Garden's front office.

Dressed in a pink jacket with black slacks, the former Northwestern basketball star remained steady and confident, even as Thomas' lawyers bore in on her to recite the precise sentences used with the B-word.

At least two jurors nodded off during the lengthy cross-examination, (there is nothing wrong with our legal system) but perked up when the tape of Thomas, in a suit jacket with an open collar, was played.

Thomas was asked if he would have disciplined Marbury if he had found out he called Browne Sanders a "black *****." Thomas said, "As best I could, yes."

"That would have violated my code of conduct."

I've never thought about it that way :)

Thinking about it now I would have to say no. The S sound is still used in Spain and so it's not just lisping all the time and comes off more as a "TH" sounds mostly, except in the Cadiz area where they even lisp sound the s's (although in Seville they don't even use the lisp sound at all and pronounce everything like an S).

Plus the more standard Spanish accent is not very melodious, meaning here their voices do not go up and down as much when they normally speak as we do in the States (again the exceptions here being southern Spain and Galicia) or especially compared to the Spanish spoken in most Latin American countries.

Of course it could be that I just got used to it.

ATLANTA - Evander Holyfield once defeated George Foreman in a battle for the world heavyweight boxing title. Now he is seeking to oust his former foe from another arena: the grilling world.

Holyfield, of Atlanta, is preparing to unveil the "Evander Holyfield Real Deal Grill," a direct competitor to Foreman's famous "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine," which has reportedly earned $100 million in sales since 1995.

"I've got a George Foreman grill. It's a good grill," Holyfield, 44, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "But don't you think the latest grill is supposed to be the best grill?"

Report: Hulk Hogan's wife seeks divorce

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from her wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, a newspaper reported Friday.

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. He was informed by a reporter that Pinellas County court records showed that the paperwork was submitted Tuesday.

"Thank you for the great information," he told the reporter.

Family spokesman Adam Handelsman referred calls to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night.

"My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes," Bollea later told the newspaper. "Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me."

The couple star in the VH1 reality TV series "Hogan Knows Best," with their two children. Recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile.

On Nov. 7, Hogan's son, 17-year-old Nick Bollea, was arrested on reckless-driving charges after a car crash. Clearwater police said Bollea crashed his 1998 Toyota Supra on Aug. 26 while street racing against a silver Dodge Viper driven by a friend. A report said Bollea was driving faster than 60 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Bollea's passenger, John Graziano, was not wearing a seat belt and was critically injured. Bollea, who was wearing a seat belt, was not seriously injured.

The Hogans moved to a $12 million bayfront estate on Miami Beach in 2006 so their children, Brooke and Nick, could pursue singing and acting careers. They had previously lived in Clearwater, near Tampa.
