I was getting some produce for a catering and saw this dude behind me carrying 3 gallons of milk in his hands. Start walking toward the checkout and passed him at that rotisserie chicken display, knew that it was him. While I waited for the pasty white, clinically retarded checkout girl at Meijer to ring up my green onions, dude checked out every chicken 3 times, but evidently decided against them. He may have been waiting of someone at the door, but no one ever came, so he did the self-scan with the 3 gallons of milk and walked out just in front of me. As I drove away I passed him getting into his suv and now that I've moved I doubt I'll see him again.

But back to the question of college basketball vs. spring MLB...

I don't enjoy sports that aren't played by the best of the best. Can't stand minor league sports, women's sports (sorry) and college games can be fun, but only when it's for all the marbles.

Spring training baseball doesn't count for anything, the games themselves are meaningless, so it's trash for that reason alone, but the top players are still involved, and at least I get some fantasy sports value out of following who reported in shape, who is throwing hard, etc.

But don't you hate watching NBA games when the score gets to be 140-135? I can't stand watching 1-on-1 followed by a flop and then free throws. NCAA ball suffers from an extended version of what the NBA suffers from, there are just too many teams and too many guys who shouldn't be playing basketball on TV.

Plus, too many "great" players are garbage in the pros for me to "follow" anyone.

Sorry, all that doesn't jive with spending 19 hours a day on message boards.

I say: WHY? Why lie? You're never going to meet the people you post with (you'd have to get over your horrible case of agorophobia and actually leave the basement and meet people). Shit, their lives are just as miserable as yours (that's why you're talking to them on a message board for---19 hours a day), and they probably have a stash of half-eaten, buried bodies in their back yard just like you do. They probably jerk off to intranets porn 10-12 times a day, probably eat nothing but pot pies and Totino's frozen pizza and drink a case of Pepsi every day, and either don't have a job, or the one they do have keeps them hidden in the basement filing room where they hug their red stapler for 8 hours until the voices in their heads tell them it's time to go home and make sure the police haven't discovered their dead parents under a pile of rotting laundry.
