I bought my tomato plants today and will get them in the ground this week hopefully.

Nothing like a garden tomato.

After the arthroscopy, I am back to playing some full court ball for the rest of my time here at college. I fucking love it. Easily the best way to work out, IMO.

Giving blood

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1259627/Man-golden-arm-James-Harrison-saves-2million-babies-half-century-donating-rare-blood.html

An Australian man who has been donating his extremely rare kind of blood for 56 years has saved the lives of more than two million babies.

James Harrison, 74, has an antibody in his plasma that stops babies dying from Rhesus disease, a form of severe anaemia.

He has enabled countless mothers to give birth to healthy babies, including his own daughter, Tracey, who had a healthy son thanks to her father's blood.

Mr Harrison has been giving blood every few weeks since he was 18 years old and has now racked up a total of 984 donations.

If you can find a download of it, look for "We Want Miles". Out of print last I checked but it's pretty badass.

His band was awesome at this time with Mike Stern, Marcus Miller, Bill Evans etc...

Edit:Looks like it was re-released with a different cover, they have it on Amazon at least...

Haha, as if we needed any more proof (of Dad Guyness)..... that's pretty much my Dad's go to recipe. He goes Raisin Bran Crunch with Post Shredded Wheat squares.

Only it was more likely to be something like Count Chocula and Honeycombs back then.

Yeah, I like a little sweetness but not like those. I like Frosted Mini Wheats.

Tahoe

I dont' think I've had those. The last cereal I ate regularly was Grape Nuts. The crunch was amazing. I still eat oat meal once in a while with cinnamon and brown sugar.

I went about 10 years without having a bowl of cereal. Then the kids came along and I "re-discovered" them.

Finishing a 17-page term paper a week ahead of schedule, when I'm usually finishing this kind of crap the night before it's due. Then again, procrastinating is kind of a good thing, too. Hm, maybe both good and bad?

I clicked this thread to say that I've had fun at work the last couple days. I mostly finished setting up 6 servers, and it's a pretty cool setup overall. All cloud servers, 4 behind a private subnet with a couple forward-facing servers hooked in with them. A couple small servers dedicated to light tasks, and a couple beefy servers for the heavy lifting.

Then... when I clicked this thread it took a minute to load LOL

bought myself some new bedding today. "Supima" cotton sheets, I ain't mad. The egyptian kind of felt better at the store but they didn't have the right color. I also bought a couple of awesome synthetic down pillows.

I like sleep and other sorts of bed activities, what can I say.
