    R.Kelly found not guilty

    In observance of this landmark verdict, I'm going to fill my bladder and go cruise the local high school.

    CHICAGO (AFP) — Grammy-award winning rhythm and blues superstar R. Kelly broke down and wept Friday as a jury cleared him of 14 charges of child pornography.


    The hugely successful Chicago-based star had consistently denied the charges since his arrested in 2002 after an incriminating video tape was sent to the Chicago Sun-Times.

    "There wasn't enough evidence," jubilant defense lawyer Edward Genson told a press conference saying they were "ecstatic" that Robert Kelly was cleared of all the charges against him after the jury deliberated for less than a day.

    He got the parents to say it wasn't her, pretty much kills the case. And fills their pockets of course. When you can afford a defense TEAM (i think he had a four man lawyer crew), you typically will be getting off unless you were so redheaded a bolt of lighning was waiting on you as soon as you stepped out the court room.

    I can't really figure out how yet, but I really want to come up with a funny line similair to "If the Glove Don't Fit, You Must Acquit" for this, in Jackie Chiles voice of course.

    Sorry, in general I don't like making light of cases of statuatory rape like this but things like this just remind me of how truly flawed some of our legal system is at times and my main defense mechanism is making jokes. Otherwise I'd just be angry all the time.
