Official NFL draft contest

I am going to run an NFL draft contest. The rules are as follows...

Pick a player for every draft position in the first round. Pick where the player will be picked, not who picks that player. For example, if you think Reggie Bush is the #1 pick and you think the Jets will trade up to pick him, then pick Bush at #1, not at #4 (where the Jets pick). Points will be awarded for how close your picks are to the real draft. Here are the point awards:

10 points for the correct pick
7 pts for 1 position off
5 pts for 2 position off
3 pts for 3 off
1 pt for 4 off

Total Points win. I will also award a 5 bonus points for any trade correctly predicted. You only need to get the first round trade portion correct (ie if the Lions trade down to pick #13, and get an extra pick out of it, you only need to predict the change in the first round and not the extra pick). As an added twist, any incorrect trade prediction will result in -2 points. This should keep the number of trades down to a minimum and create a high risk/reward senario there.

As in the other contests, a custom signature and a place on the ranking page is at stake here in addition to bragging rights. I will set the deadlines for entries after the CBA mess is cleared up wednesday/thursday. All entries will be submitted by PM and be secret to everyone else until the deadline is reached and they are posted here. You will only be allowed to submit one entry to me, and it cannot be changed (unless something drastic happens like a player suddenly withdraws from the draft). Posting this now will give you some time to think about your mock though.

Update: The deadline will be April 24th at 12:00 PM EST, the Monday before the draft to submit entries to this. You may submit your entry at any time prior to that, but all submissions are final (unless a player pulls out of the draft or something like that). Please PM me your mock at any time prior to that Monday. If any trades happen before then, I suggest altering your draft.

Since I realize the best thing for you is to wait until the last minute to submit them, I will probably have a lot of them to compile at once. That is fine. But, please submit them throughout the day as our inbox's do have a limit. i will copy them out during normal business hours, but not at night. So try and get them to me by 5:00 monday or risk it not getting thru.
