Ok, so it's been about 12 years since I've spent much more than holidays in suburban Detroit so I need some help for this weekend. I'm coming in for the Lions/Bears game and 3 of my buddies are coming out too and staying at my Dad's on Saturday. I'm pretty sure they're going to want to go out somewhere on Sat night but we won't have access to a car. Anywhere works really, even a dive old man bar, just somewhere other than my pop's basement.

My dad can drop us off somewhere but then he has to go babysit my sister's kids so he couldn't pick us up late that night.

My questions then:

a. Any recommendations on where to go? My dad lives off of 9 Mile, between Inkster and Middlebelt. Not too far from Grand River.

b. How easy is it to get a cab to pick you up late? This may sound like a stupid question but I just don't remember seeing cabs driving around too much growing up. Is it as simple as calling and waiting? Is it usually a long wait? We don't really care if it's expensive.

Any help would be much appreciated.
