So, he wants to run for U.S. President against a highly flawed candidate?
Hopefully, he's running for VP.
If you can't take your home state (or one of your home states if you legitimately have two), don't bother running for the Presidency.
I've been saying that since Al Gore was campaigning in Michigan and not locking down Tennessee, weeks before dimpled chads.
And yeah, I know Trump won without New York, but if his opposition weren't a New York Senator, I'd have said the same thing.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I like Beto. Hell, I even donated to Beto sorta (long story involving beer). I just think he has to win Texas first.
An electoral calculus that involves ditching your home state is one where you're getting bad press at home that gets seen nation-wide.
I think the traditional conventions are dead. We’re in the age of the celebrity president and the Democrats need someone that will get people excited. Were you excited by the first dozen or so people that entered? This is what is necessary at this point.
