I figured we could use a thread for small news stories that aren't important enough for their own thread.

This thread is going to be spectacular.

First up: Balloon boy.

They finally determine what we already knew as soon as "Falcon" wasn't on the balloon: it was a hoax. I have no idea what took them so long to determine that, especially when they released the video of them launching the balloon and "Richard" doing a horrible acting job of going crazy.

That family needs to be taken for a lot of money. Maybe a message should be sent to them about people who try and get their 15 minutes of fame - either throw one or both of them in jail for a while or give them a bill of $50 grand.

What a great family.

Little Wayne plead guilty to an Attempted Weapons Possession charge. Possibly go to jail for a year.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not sure that America could handle one year without music created by Little Wayne. We're in a bad enough recession as it is.

How do you attempt to possess weapons?

If you are like, kind of in trouble a lil bit, and on probation, you can't even go attempt to buy a weapon.

Out here, one needs to wait 10 days(?) for a background check, just for a frickin shotgun. Not a pistol, not a pistol, we're talking bout shotguns.

Not saying lil W is any troub, but thats where I hear about it out here. You can't even attempt to buy a gun type thing.
