Dustups in sports...
Kiffin v Meyer, etc. Hopefully this doesn't conflict with the meltdown thread.
Sonny v Jim Zorn Redskins.

I love the whole Kiffin/Meyer thing. Sports need more of this stuff, IMO.

I agree. I'd like to see a nice Tressel/Rich Rod rivalry once Michigan can actually beat them again.

I think we don't have nearly enough trash talk, personally.
Remember back before the '95 Michigan-Ohio State game when Terry Glenn was talking shit about keeping Michigan down where they belong? That's the kind of stuff I think we need more of.
Rivalries make sports great. They set college and the NFL apart, IMO. You have maybe one truly great rivalry in the pros (Ravens/Steelers), and a shitload in college.
Obviously the games are won on the field, but I see no harm in a little shit talk between coaches or players. I don't know... I like to watch games knowing that both teams aren't too fond of each other.

Is Yankees Redsox still a good rivalry? I make every effort to avoid either on TV.
Wings/Avs isn't much of one anymore.

Red Sox-Yankees is the most overrated rivalry in all of sports, to me. Yeah, it's got history and all that shit, but it kind of loses its luster when they play 20 times a year or whatever it is.
I think UM-OSU is getting up there as well, though. However, a win this year by UM would change that.

So this is like pissing matches?
That latest blast by Kiffin about the flu was awesome

Kiffin is hilarious. Remember when he accused Meyer of cheating when he really wasn't?

This thread won't be as good now that Manny isn't being Manny anymore.
