    Sellout streak over

No surprise really, with this economy and the Pistons poor record. 259 straight games.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Pistons failed to sell out their game Wednesday night against Miami, ending the team's sellout streak at just over five years.

The team had sold out 259 straight games at the Palace of Auburn Hills, including postseason, since Jan. 19, 2004 -- the season it won its most recent NBA title.

The streak was the longest in franchise history. The Pistons sold out the first 245 games in Palace history, running from 1988 to 1993 and including two NBA titles.

From what I've seen, entire sections have been nearly empty in the upper bowl recently.
    Find a new slant.
