    Are the Spurs done?

I think the Spurs run is about over, and no, it's not just because they lost to the Sonics last night and the Jazz the night before.

I've seen them a few times this year and they just don't look like the "prime" Spurs anymore.

On top of that, now they are shutting down Tony Parker.

I do look for them to sign a buyout player (ala Stoudemire, Cassell, etc) and possibly try to swing a deadline deal or two, but unless Buford pulls something out of his ass, I think there are 3-4 teams in the West, at least, that are superior.

look at the calendar my man. The Spurs know to take off the even years.

How does cutting Beno look right about now?

I know that they traded him, same thing.

To me, it just seems they're not hungry enough after all these rings and just aren't worrying too much. "We're going to get a playoff spot, so who cares".

Expect them to turn it up at least a little come playoff time or if seeds start getting really important.

I seem to recall another team that tries to do that every year and keeps getting bounced in the conference finals.....

Ha, but it's been longer, and the championship only occurred once. I think "that" team wants it more than the Spurs. You said it, they keep getting bounced in the conference finals. Tell me that isn't disappointing, to get so far and lose it.

I think it's a different case, though it can be obvious the Pistons aren't taking a couple games seriously.

They're going to pick up Damon Stoudemire, probably.

And I don't think they're done. This same question has come up about the Spurs almost every (meaningless) regular season.

I do think this could be the first time they reach the Finals and actually lose though.

I wonder if they are the oldest team in the league?

They have 6 guys with 10+ years of service, and it shows.

    They are.

I think Boston could beat them, us too (if of course we don't fucking throw away a game like we did in 05).

    03: Spurs
    04: Pistons
    05: Spurs
    06: Heat
    07: Spurs

Are we going to see another East team winning it?

A handful of teams in the West could take them down IMO.
