A military jumping expert began working with NASA and the Air Force during the 1960s to study what would happen if someone were to actual fall to Earth out of the upper atmosphere. So he rode a platform on a weather balloon up into the extreme low-pressure zone and jumped off. He jumped off. He jumped right the fuck off. Luckily, there was film. Enjoy.
Swam... that video confuses me a little bit. So he jumped from the upper atmosphere (to crappy 70s synthesizer music nonetheless) wearing some sort of space suit and landed in the water and all of the sudden had a surfboard and dolphins were swimming with him.
On top of that - how'd they get the third person view of him falling? Did someone else fall with him?
