2. Seattle SuperSonics - Kevin Durant, Texas, 6'10" Small Forward, Freshman
Durant has all the talent to form a 1-2 punch with Allen.
3. Atlanta Hawks - Al Horford, Florida, 6'9" Power Forward, Junior
The Hawks need size in a bad way, Horford is a load inside.
4. Memphis Grizzlies - Mike Conley, Ohio St., 6'0" Point Guard, Freshman
With Horford gone, Memphis finally adds some youth to an over the hill PG rotation.
5. Boston Celtics - Yi Jianlian, China, 7'0" Center/Power Forward, Born 1987
Yi is a gifted scorer and Pierce needs help with that. Many feel he’s the 3rd best player in the draft.
6. Milwaukee Bucks - Corey Brewer, Florida, 6'8" Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Junior
Brewer allows Redd to shift back to SG where he belongs and takes the defensive pressure off him.
7. Minnesota Timberwolves - Joakim Noah, Florida, 6'11" Center/Power Forward, Junior
With the recent KG rumors, Minny opts to get the player that can help them the soonest hoping to make a deep playoff run while KG is still here.
8. Charlotte Bobcats - Jeff Green, Georgetown, 6'8" Small Forward, Junior
The Bobcats don’t want to pay Wallace big money and need another versatile wing to replace him.
9. Chicago Bulls - Spencer Hawes, Washington, 6'11" Center, Freshman
Ben is not an offensive threat and Thomas isn’t much of one either. Hawes is a gifted scorer down low.
10. Sacramento Kings - Brandan Wright, North Carolina, 6'10" Power Forward, Freshman
They would have taken Conley here, but Wright will pair with Miller nicely until he and Bibby break down.
11. Atlanta Hawks - Javaris Crittenton, Georgia Tech, 6' 5" Point Guard, Freshman
They took size at #3, and need a PG here.
12. Philadelphia 76ers - Al Thornton, Florida St., 6'7" Small Forward, Junior
The Sixers like Thornton’s toughness and will be a nice wing tandem with Igoudala.
13. New Orleans/OKC Hornets - Thaddeus Young, Georgia Tech, 6'8" Small Forward, Freshman
Young will replace Mason as the athletic wing next to Peja.
14. Los Angeles Clippers - Rodney Stuckey, Eastern Washington, 6'5" Shooting Guard, Sophomore
The Clippers need help at PG in case Livingston can’t come back 100%, but they also need scoring on the wing. Stuckey can play both positions and open things up for Brand and Kamen.
15. Detroit Pistons - Acie Law IV, Texas A&M, 6'3" Point Guard, Senior
Billups will likely be back, but they need a backup and eventual successor anyway. Plus, Billups can play along side Law for stretches as well.
16. Washington Wizards - Nick Young, Southern California, 6'6" Shooting Guard, Junior
Arenas needs some help scoring on the wing and Butler doesn’t provide enough of that. A pure shooter, Young will spread the floor for Arenas’ slashing.
17. New Jersey Nets - Jason Smith, Colorado, 7'0" Power Forward, Junior
The Nets desperately need some size to pair with Kristic.
18. Golden State Warriors – Sean Williams, Boston College, 6'10" Power Forward/Center, Junior
The Warriors need a defensive presence to pair with Biedrins.
19. Los Angeles Lakers - Gabriel Pruitt, Southern California, 6'4" Point Guard, Junior
Kobe needs someone to help take the ball handling load off him. Pruitt can also knock down the open 3.
20. Miami Heat - Julian Wright, Kansas, 6’8” Small Forward, Sophomore
With Pruitt and Williams off the board, the Heat focus on replacing Posey and Jones. Wright is too good to pass on here.
21. Philadelphia 76ers - Josh McRoberts, Duke, 6'10" Power Forward/Center, Sophomore
PF is their greatest need so McRoberts should help here.
22. Charlotte Bobcats - Nick Fazekas, Nevada, 6'11" Power Forward, Senior
Okefor is a defensive specialist and Fazekas is an offensive specialist.
23. New York Knicks - Wilson Chandler, DePaul, 6’8” Small Forward, Sophomore
The Knicks reportedly like Chandler, and they definitely need some wing players (and to dump their combo guards).
24. Phoenix Suns - Tiago Splitter, Brazil, 6'11" Power Forward, Born 1985
The Suns are facing the luxury tax and can wait on Splitter for a year.
25. Utah Jazz - Marco Belinelli, Italy, 6’6” Shooting Guard, Born 1986
AK47 needs to be moved back to PF and Harpring is aging anyway.
26. Houston Rockets - Glen Davis, Louisiana St., 6'8" Power Forward, Junior
Davis will provide some muscle up front next to Yao.
27. Detroit Pistons - Morris Almond, Rice, 6'6" Shooting Guard, Senior
One of the Pistons biggest needs is a bench scorer. Almond should provide plenty of that.
28. San Antonio Spurs - Petteri Koponen, Finland, 6'5" Point Guard, Born 1988
The Spurs are looking to deal or dump Udrich, so Parker needs a new backup.
29. Phoenix Suns - Rudy Fernadez, Spain, 6’6” Shooting Guard, Born 1985
Another player they can stash oversees while Bell holds down the fort.
30. Philadelphia 76ers - Zabian Dowdell, Virginia Tech, 6’2” Point Guard, Senior
With plenty of forwards in the mix, the Sixers opt to find a backup to Miller.
57. Detroit Pistons - Sun Yue, China, 6’9” Guard/Forward, Born in 1985
Detroit doesn’t have much room for rookies so they can stash him away for a year.
