    Rocky Balboa

Saw it last night with DrTre and Moodini. If you have liked ANY of the previous 5 (most only acknowledge 4) you will like this.

Some incredible moments. Obviously movie technology has come a LONG way since the Rocky movies I was raised on.

This film ties up the entire series perfectly.

It is well worth the cost of big screen admission.

The day it comes out on video, it will be purchased and then the Sagnasty crew will sit and watch all 12 hours of Rocky.
We had subs. It was crazy.

Loved it. As wierd as it sounds to have a 60 year old dude fighting for the Heavyweight Championship of the World, Stallone really did a good job of making the story believable. The best thing that I can say about the movie without spoiling anything would be that it really feels like a Rocky movie. The music, the setting, the acting, just felt right. I felt like a 10 year old again watching a new Rocky movie, not knowing what was going to happen and rooting for Rocky. Just awesome!

And Jeth, the 12 hour marathon is going to happen, so start talking to Mrs. Jethro now....haha.

Did you walk out the theater shadow boxing?

I specifically remember doing that coming out of either R2 or R3 as a kid.

There were a bunch of other kids doing the same.
    Find a new slant.

I hope it was a lot better than 5. I loved the first 4, but Rocky 5 stunk.
Phil Wenneck: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan Garner: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.

Shadow boxing: yes, before I got to the car. Fist in the air: absolutely.

Better than 5? I could dump in a box and put it at the top of the steps in Philly and it would be better than 5.

It was so much better. It was good enough to make up for all that 5 did wrong. It's the perfect way to wrap up the series, and it closes the door to any more sequels.

So all the fellas out there with Rocky ladies to impress
It's easy to do, just follow these steps
    1 cut a hole in a box
2 put your dump in that box
3 make her open the box

Well, it's not so much that we're sleepin' and hatin'.
In my case, it's not wanting to mortgage my house to go see a movie.
I'll either wait for it to hit the "Dollar Theatre" where I live, or wait for it to hit cable.
I mean, if I see "Starring Fred Willard and 37 Naked Babes" in the movie promo, I'll go. Otherwise, forget it.

Saw it, its the movie Rocky 5 should have been. I think the pressure from everyone(including his own wife) telling him not to do another rocky film brought the best out of him as a writer and a director. I think the death of the Talia Shire character gave it a stronger dramatic element. the type of element that was nowhere to be found in Rocky 5. Went back to the roots of Rocky. Rocky isnt a pretty, he's an ugly sack of bricks who doesnt know much about doing most things, except boxing and a little bit of life.

Oh and Pauly was still funny to me as always. In fact the only part of Rocky 5 I liked was when he got Tommy to sock the shyt out of him by roasting him him so hard :P
