you've got to check this out, if you want to save some cash from some nice area restaurants. it works like this: you pay like $10 for a $25 gift certificate. of course you can give them as nice gifts, but you can also just use them yourself. you just need to present it to your server when you order your meal. they've got lots of specials from time to time where you can get like 50% off the gift certificate, so you can pay like $5 for a $25 one.

there are some caveats on some of the gift certificates, like time of day they can be used, total bill minimums, minimum amount of diners, etc. so, be sure to read them before buying.

probably not the best idea on a first date, but it's a cool way to save some cash while eating at nice places.
