Big game. Big game. Now that "little sister" has been dispatched (not after throwing quite a temper tantrum and getting many to feel sorry for her), MSU now must play the most important game on its schedule. The Vadgers are legit and not an over-rated peacock like UM. Pretty complete team. Solid in all phases. Containing Wilson without Gholston (who will be serving his one week sentence for aggravated assault on Taylor "I am a cheapshot" Lewan) will be a challenge. However, MSU has quite a bit of quality depth on the DL.

The big difference between the two teams is the level of competition each has faced. Believe it or not, UW's non-conference schedule was even cream-puffier than MSU's, by a damn sight. The only team UW has played is UNL (you know, the school UM and UW stabbed in the back and got voted out of the AAU shortly after they joined the Big Ten) who they beat, but with a great deal of help from UNL's QB. Also, this will be UW's first road game (very hostile, that is).

I think MSU' s OL is much improved and, thus, the running game will continue to be a bigger part of the offense. This UW team is essentially the same team as last year except for Wilson at QB. He is quite an step-up, but I think the play of MSU's defense (even without that big meany Gholston) coupled with a capable MSU offense will cancel out any UW advantage.

MSU 30 UW 27.
