-Pistons offered the full MLE for 5 years. ($30 million)

-Looks like Joel is mulling it over, but he fully expects Joel to sign with the Pistons. It's not finalized yet, but it will be.

-Blazers aren't taking this well. They expected to build around this kid.

-Joel was their best pick-and-roll defender last year, and was invaluable in that regard. He was the best defender on the Blazers by far.

-Joel's still up-and-coming. His only real obstacle right now is kis knee tendonitis. He's never required surgery, but it's been there.

-Joel really wants to be on a winner, and can't take losing in Portland anymore.

-Flip and Joel have ties going back to U-Minnesota.

-Joel was beloved in the Portland locker room, and was the team captain.

-Sets excellent screens, blocks out very well. Veru fundamentally sound.

If we got him for free, perhaps, but we had to use the only means we had to get a FA to get him, so we're essentially the same team as last year with JP instead of Ben. I agree it's the best we can do, but IMO, this just makes the Darko debacle even more glaring.

this coming from the foreign player vendetta builder himself. Maybe you should go back to whining about the owner. Anymore excuses for Pryz? I've been hearing plenty. Though i must admit this was the weakest. Maybe you should stick to bashing players rather than defending them. Or maybe i should like the pickup for your status quo. We already have one Dale Davis type, I want an athletic quicker big man starting. Thats a bad thing now?

No reason to be "high" on any of our options honestly. I hope no one is naive enough to do that.
