Thread: DET/GSW

    DET/GSW

    Biedrins/Maggette for Prince/Kwame

They deal $17.9 mil but take back $14.3

We take 5 and 4 year contracts, they get 2 years and expiring.

I'd want a pick from them if we did this deal. They get out of paying a lot of cash.

They can make it Lotto protected 2010, Top 5 2011 and Top 3 2012 but after that it's our pick. That's fair IMO lol

So with all of these deals that you're posting this morning, you're assuming that Mrs.D lets Joe go deep into luxury tax land, right?
    Find a new slant.

Biens is barely playing, he got benched for Turiaf. GSW would jump at this.

Why they do my deal with Randolph in it?
Phil Wenneck: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan Garner: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.

I'm guessing you're asking why they "don't" do that deal? I think they would.

Why do we do this deal?
    STEW BEEF!

I wouldn't. Biedrins is ok, but not good enough to take on Maggs contract alone.

All these deals I'm posting are simply because I see no point in being mediocre for the next 3 or 4 years.

I seriously doubt we can deal Rip with his contract and if he's here and Gordon is here and Nova is here we need a big dude that can compliment them.

    AND

IF you believe that the organisation is sold on Stuckey (like I do) then all you "need" to trade for is a starting calibre big man that can focus on boards and blocks.

So goodbye Prince and Kwame and hello whatever PF/C you can find. The list of available (or potentially available) big men is pretty short so naturally you're gonna see variations of different trades on here.

As for the luxury tax - not my problem. And if the only reason not to add a capable big is because we'd go over the tax in the next few years then fuck me - that's bullshit

    Boo.

And why would we do it?

Biedrins is a capable C that can reduce Big Ben's minutes now and replace him altogether pretty soon.

The cost of having Maggette is high, but the guy is certainly capable of putting up numbers and he's also capable of starting. They give us the pick to make up for his shitty contract.

I'd prefer the pick to Randolph - only because I feel something must be wrong with the dude when he can start for them.
