    Rivals names Michigan "Quarterback U"

Right now rivals.com is naming all of the schools that produce the most and best NFL players at certain positions. Michigan was named "Quarterback U" today.

What other schools got awards? Penn St is usually considered linebacker U, aren't they?
Michigan is also RB bust U, while Florida is QB bust U.
Miami should get a lot of credit, for TE's if nothing else. But they turn out good defensive players too.
Michigan could get some love for O-Linemen as well.
We had subs. It was crazy.

We can't lay claim to much in football, but I think MSU should get some serious WR consideration.

Gibson (2 Time All American surprisingly)
    Rison
    Muhammed
    Mason
    Plax
    Rogers

    just to name a few

I'm sure somebody has had better, but that's a pretty nice list.

The argument depends on how much you consider guys that aren't in the league (or never were like Gibson).
Miami currently has Andre Johnson, Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne. Obviously they've had other guys, like Irvin.
Florida State has guys like Boldin, Javon Walker and Laverneous Coles.

It's at the bottom of the link, but for lazy people, here ya go....

Interior Offensive Line U-Boston College (Michigan was mentioned as a runner up)
    Kicker U-Georgia
    Linebacker U-Miami
    Defensive End U-Nebraska
    Tight End U-Georgia
    Punter U ( )-Colorado
    Cornerback U-Ohio State
Defensive Tackle U-Geogia and Tennesse (tie)
Wide Receiver U-Ohio State (MSU mentioned as a runner up)
    Quarterback U-Michigan
    Safety U-TBA

    Ohio State?
    That's a bunch of crap.
The only notable guys they have are Galloway and Glenn - both about 2 years away from retirement, and Michael Jenkins. Boston lifted his way out of the league and Santonio Holmes, while a first round projection, hasn't done anything yet.

    Don't forget Cris Carter.

All but one Wolverines starter since Grbac in 1989 has started a game in the NFL. Jim Harbaugh, the most decorated Michigan quarterback while in college, misses this list after taking his last NFL snap in 2000 before retiring in 2001.

It's pretty cool that they put this list together. I'm with you though Jethro, I don't know about OSU as WR U. If they were the only school ahead of State, I think it should have went to MSU.
