OK, this might sound a little gay and nerdish, but I'm really pissed off and frustrated right now. I'm about 19 hours in, and I think I might have to start all the way over. I'm Wolf-Link and I'm taking out the insects for the 3rd light spirit in the Lanayru Province. There were some insects to take out at Lake Hylia, but before I took them out, I howled and hopped on this huge bird thing, which took me to another place. I need to get back to the lake, but I can't find any way possible. The cave that I flew through is now frozen shut, there's a river leading there, but it's blocked off by a gate, I tried to jump off the bridge (how I got there the first time), but there are no boxes to jump on this time and I can't get high enough. The walkthrough I found just says to warp there, but warping there is not an option for me either. I can warp close to it, but can't get to the lake! I can walk to the bridge and I'm able to howl to call the bird thing back, but I do it and it says "Nothing happened." There is no way to get back to the damn lake! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Is anyone playing this game, or know of anyone playing that could help me out, I don't want to start all the way over. UGH!

Naw, sorry man I hope you didn't unwittingly screw yourself and I've got no help for you. Redoing 19 hours can definately sour your view of a game. My brother got to the final battle in FF3 back in the day and the system gliched and not only turned off but erased his game. Needless to say he doesn't think highly of the game (and actually never played another FF or RPG again).

if your still in the lake hylia area, im guessing your north in the fish people region, you can still swim back to the lake, i believe. one route is gated off, but you can also swim/walk in the southern more route that is right by the gated one.

im not 100% on this, but im pretty sure. i'll check tomorrow. but i wouldnt restart, the gathering of those bug things is too tedious to go through again.

i had your exact same problem. there might be a house on the south side of the top side of the lake, try asking the dude if you can fly down or something.

if that first idea doesnt work, try going out the south door of the castle and then jump into the river.

Super sweet! Problem solved! I went to that house at the bottom of the river and crossed the bridge to get to the other side of the river and there were some reeds and I was able to howl and call the bird thing back. It took me back to the lake. Now I'm rollin'. Thanks Darko. All of you can get back to your games and stop worrying about me.

The game is a true classic.

And, I played Gears of War for about 6 hours last night if that helps balance things out. lol.
