    UConn violated NCAA rules

Didn't know where to put this. Thought I'd post it since Rip was mentioned.

Connecticut allegedly committed NCAA rules violations in its recruitment of former guard Nate Miles, Yahoo! Sports reported Wednesday.
The Web site reported that, according to multiple sources, Miles was provided with lodging, transportation, restaurant meals and representation between 2006 and 2008 by Josh Nochimson, a former UConn student manager who had become a professional sports agent and formerly represented ex-Huskies star Richard Hamilton. Miles was expelled in fall of 2008 and never played for UConn.

Nothing's going to happen. ESPN hearts UConn too much.

I heard talk about what might happen to UConn if Calhoun retires. They predicted virtually everyone of note would leave and it would be a major rebuilding job. Perhaps if the NCAA (don't pretend they don't consider this type of thing) realized this they would go ahead and hit them with a sanction, the "they're down anyway, it would be nice PR if we actually enforced a rule for a change" mentality.
We had subs. It was crazy.

Along those lines, when Pete Carroll eventually leaves, USC WILL get hit with sanctions, especially if UCLA is good at the time.

Winning breeds confidence. Losing breeds reality.
