    Texas gunman was court-martialed, confined 12 months and kicked out of USAF for assaulting his wife and their child, our DC bureau reports.
    Wouldn't a nice first step be a simple law that says domestic abusers can't legally own or buy guns anymore?

    Yeah, I know that won't fly, either.

    At least if you are on the terrorist watch list you can't buy, right? Oh, nevermind.

    It would be nice if it was possible to pass literally any federal law enforcing any degree of gun control.

    Crime control. Gun control means you're wimps and soft on crime.
