So the service has two boxes. The first box is called the ONT and the fiber is directly plugged into it which converts the fiber optic signal, then the box has an ethernet cable that is plugged into the second box which is the modem-router combo. I have the router in bridge mode and it goes to my Apple Extreme Router but to be honest, the router from ATT is similar in strength to the apple.

Ahh... was just curious if the problem was that the wireless in the AT&T modem-router combo didn't have enough "oomph" to drive the ethernet and wifi at 1G speeds.
The only thing I use the ISP wifi for is guest access. I don't care if it gets great speed or not.

Not sure what to make of this. From Kevin Spacey's view, if he was shit-faced drunk, he might not remember anything. If he knows that he could get shit-faced drunk that in the '80s but doesn't remember, that's all he ought to confess to. That's especially true if the only evidence f this is some kid who he doesn't know, who never brought it up to him in any way for decades. Kevin Spacey wasn't some powerful showbiz person at the time. The 14 year old doesn't tell his mom (or can't even remember, which seems more preposterous if it's such a big thing), the cops, his agent perhaps? He says he went to a lawyer and the lawyer said he didn't have a PEDOPHILIA RAPE case -- really? When was that lawyer seen relative tot the alleged crime? Rapp only starts talking about it with friends after Spacey becomes famous, but writes a memoir 10 years ago (by which time Spacey is famous) and doesn't even allude to it AFAIK? Perhaps the goal was to simply "out" Spacey, which he did. I dunno. I smell some sort of bullshit here.

One possibility was that the claim was made to 'force' Spacey to be outed. I dunno. Unless every ex of Spacey's is an 'ex' on perfectly good terms, there's no way he could address this claim and NOT come out. The more I think about it, the more like bullshit the guy's claim sounds. He didn't think he'd want to talk with his mom because then he'd have to talk about being gay to his mom? Seems like he wouldn't have had to go into that at all with "some PERVY GUY tried to RAPE ME. I'm 14!". Hell, I had some old guy expose himself to me as a teenager. I managed to report that without my own sexuality coming up. And now he wants to say no further words about it? Drop the bomb, then walk away from any of the consequences... really?

If a sex attack really happened to him from Spacey, I can't imagine reacting the way he reportedly did, or has since.

Justin Dawes told the publication that, when he was 16 and Spacey was 29, Spacey invited him and a friend over to his apartment to watch “Chinatown” after they met at a performance of a play Spacey was performing in at the time. Once he was there, however, Dawes alleged that Spacey instead made them cocktails and played pornography on the television.

While Dawes said the situation was “sleazy and manipulative,” he said it was not “intimidating or pushy.”

My hunch is right -- gay sleazebag stories coming out from him, no way to respond without outing himself. Is being a gay horndog a rapist, though? That's what got me with the first article and gets to me iwth thie most recent lone.

The third complainant who alleges a crime is anonymous and has a glaring hole in his story:

Another accuser — a journalist who chose to remain anonymous — said he interviewed Spacey in the early 2000s and while all was normal while they were in the actor’s office at the Old Vic theater, Spacey invited him out to a club afterward. There, the journalist alleged, Spacey began groping him, reaching between his legs and grabbing his genitals

The journalist went on to say that he didn’t run a story about his sexual misconduct because he didn’t want to out Spacey as a gay man. He felt empowered to speak out only after Rapp went public.

A journalist doesn't want the biggest story of their year after having his balls grabbed?? Reallly?!? Riiiggghhtttt...

There's all sorts of other complains that seem to have this in common, none of which seem like "juvenile rape" or other felony crime. Maybe workplace harassment? I dunno. All those complaints are anonymous. The one that was specifically documented on House of Cards during its shooting involved a "specific remark and gesture"... hooo boy. There's nothing at the Bill Cosby/Harvey Weinstein level AFAICT.

Spacey's career is ruined. He's made enough money to last the rest of his life, and perhaps enough to get some therapy because he's some kind of fucked up. A fucked-up actor... there's a shock.

But I think to myself, if I ever became famous, and was put on public trial for the times I unsuccessfully hit on a girl, or twisted comments by an ex-fling that didn't end so well or watched porn or made some politically incorrect rude remark and gesture, I'd be burned at the stake too. I doubt I could "grab 'em by the pussy" and become president. I'm sure that someone could twist my mostly-normal life into something "seedy and a bit weird" and complain of something "bordering on harassment" (exact quotes from more complaints against him) without too much effort.

Hell, just last night, I asked a girl to bed after some drinks sitting side by side with her, she said "no", and we went our separate ways. I'm sure it could be construed as an unwanted approach, even though it was a simple case of I asked and she said no with the only coercion buying a glass of something. If I were talking about it here, I'd say "should've hit on the skinny married bitches sitting to my right, the Asian one was hawt!" which I'm sure would land me in trouble, even though if you overhead what they were saying for two seconds it'd be like "way WAY too high maintenance for even a one-night stand".

But hey, we made buckmeat out of the Bucks!
