BLAHAMANIA will be rampant this year

What are you gonna do when the Blaha comes for you?

    Blaha on TV full time?

The Pistons plan to announce some personnel changes for their TV and radio broadcasts, but not much will change.

Longtime FSN Detroit play-by-play man Fred McLeod has departed to take over as the Cleveland Cavaliers' TV presence.

All indications are George Blaha will move full time to TV, doing games on FSN Detroit and TV20. Talks are in the final stages among FSN Detroit, Blaha and the Pistons.

Mark Champion, who has been doing radio for the Pistons since 2001, will become the full-time radio voice.

"We're lucky to have so much talent in this town," said Pete Skorich, the Pistons' vice president of multimedia communications.

"If everything goes as planned, we're going to have a great broadcast team that Pistons fans are very familiar with."

Blaha did not respond to requests for comment.

Blaha will start his 31st season with the Pistons this fall, doing radio and TV work.

Champion is best known for his 16 years doing radio for the Lions. He was let go in 2005 as part of that team's radio shake-up.

Maybe you can listen to him with the volume control on really loud every other game or so.

I'm happy that I don't have to hear him try and interact with Rockin' Rick Mahorn on the radio anymore.

Blaha & Kelser should be pretty sweet.

This is good for the spiritual fisherman, since he lost the Lions gig.

To Blaha or not to Blaha... that is NOT the Question. Why do we all have to still listen to Bill Walton on ESPN?... there my friends is the question.
