Yes. The Detroit Free Press is considered more liberal, while the Detroit News is considered more conservative. These biases usually don't trickle over to the sports pages, although it might be interesting if they did. It might be fun to read stories of the previous night's game written with an outrageous political slant.

i should have guessed based on the names....."free" press does sound more liberal.
