Pistons Sign Blalock To Multiyear Contract

Blalock has 2 years to develop into Lindsey Hunter Part II and then he's done.

Either the kid can do it or he can't.

Acker? We can keep him or not, depends on what Joe wants to do with the roster spot.

It doesn't matter though, because Acker wouldn't have played anyway.

BLalock has excellent court vision, though, which I believe gives him the potential to be a real PG where Hunter fialed.

He made a lot of plays in summer leagues that didn't get him an assist, but set up plays to where the guy he passed to had an easy assist.

He thinks the game better than most rookies, which I think is an asset when it comes to emergency help.

Stats nonwithstanding, Blalock has much more potential than Acker, and at a position that we're more in need of.
