WTFDetroit MLB Power Rankings - July 14, 2006 (Buyers & Sellers)

The Atlanta Braves were the big gainers in our poll this week, jumping 4 slots from number 26 up to number 22 after going 7-3 in their last 10. On the decline were the A’s and the Rockies, both of whom fell four slots as they continue to struggle with inconsistency. Both are streaky teams so don’t be too surprised if they’re right back up next week.

With the conclusion of the All Star Break, we come into baseball’s unofficial trading period leading up to the deadline at the end of this month. Who’s going shopping? Who’s standing pat? Who are the big sellers? With each team’s ranking this week, let’s take a look at each team’s likely situation for the season.

I wonder how much longer ESPN can keep the White Sox at #1?

What happens over the next few days may finally wake them up, and hopefully not justify their opinion.
