Well I figured the game would have more of a curve to pick up the new shit than it did. Virtually the exact same game with a few basic updates...So I wasnt in the dark like I had thought.

I used to play a lot. It was my roommate's game though, so I want it again. If anybody is tired of it and wants to get rid of it for cheap let me know. Otherwise I'll probably just spend the 40 bucks eventually. I love that game.

The best time I ever had was when we played 4 vs 4 and everyone was orcs. We all took Blademasters and harassed them like crazy until they cried and quit.

Yeah, it's basically the same with some extra heros. Dark Ranger, the Frost Chick (forgot the name), and the inferno guy are all pretty sweet.

There are some good units added too though.

holy shit this game is the shit. I hated the "warcraft" games. Friends got me into dota but never tired chaos.

I've been working on a mod of this game for the past 2 months or so now. It's based off of the "Song Of Ice Ad Fire" series by George R. R. Martin (I cannot more strongly recommend a book series than this one). It's about a week or two from BETA. If anyone is interested in BETA testing it or working on it, let me know.

So far, it's ALL new races, new Heros, new abilities, new buildings, and an entirely new feel. We have one map so far (but it's epic huge), and more maps will be out as soon as everything else is finished.

I've never done the Warcraft thing. But I am a pretty big fan of MMO's. I'm actually thinking about jumping into one while I'm getting paid for doing nothing this summer (teacher). Someone sell me on one. Warcraft, Everquest, Final Fantasy XI, etc. Please compare and contrast.
