Don't forget the Gay Leader of the Spartans in 300.

And I do that pose when I fart while getting a blow job.

So, I recently saw some movies.

Notorious - It was aight. The kid didn't really look like Biggie and he didn't really get Biggie's lisp, but he imitated Biggie's flow pretty well. Otherwise, the casting was pretty awful - the guys who played Puffy, 2Pac and Suge Knight didn't look anything like the real dudes and it was really distracting - especially the guy who played 2Pac. We kept joking about it. Another thing that really bothered me was that the guy who pretty much got Bad Boy off the ground, Craig Mack, appears for literally 2 seconds in this movie ... and the funniest thing was, this dude looked just like Craig Mack. Shit, it might have been him. Dude probably needs work anyway. 5/10. It gets minus 5 points for lack of historical accuracy.

Doubt - This movie's got something for everyone. If you like mystery stories, you got it. If you like watching the best of the best actors at the top of their game, you got it. If you have a secret sexual attraction to hot nuns (I'm not going to say anything, you know who you are), you got it. Basically, it's the 1960s and a popular priest is accused of pederasty, and no one really has any evidence. It's a good script. Not everyone is as simple and straightforward as you think they are. I really dug this. 9/10, -1 point for Amy Adams being in a nun's habit through the whole thing.

Good Dick - Before I even go into this, I want to establish that no one in this movie is named Dick, and the title of this movie is not a double-entendre joke. It really is referring to being fucked, and the only way I can see that they got away with this is that it's an indie flick.

Anyway, it's a really good movie. It does the old switcheroo. You start watching this movie and it sets you up like it's gonna be about one thing, but about 2/3 of the way through you realize it's about something completely different. Lonely bro who works in a video store with a bunch of other bros falls in love with seriously crazy woman who rents videos there every day. It starts off slow, like a lot of indie flicks do, but it's really interesting because the relationship between the two people is so demented. Not a lot of movies have female characters that are this interesting. I think John Ritter's kid plays the video store bro. 7/10, -3 points for "stop showing me shots of people's reflections in the window and get on with it already."

i wasnt crazy about doubt. i felt like there could have been more to it than there was. maybe cuz i heard such great things and expectations were too high.

i just watched rashoman. its an akira flick. the 3rd one i've seen (7 samurai, the king lear one being the others). rashoman was by far the best of the 3. the other 2 were good, and it was obvious why akira is so highly reguarded, but rashoman was great, especially when you consider it was made 60 years ago in japan. im honestly shocked that it hasnt been ripped off a million times. also, the medium in it is probably the scariest thing i've seen in a movie in forever. i had nightmares last night about her.

It's Rashomon you saw, and it has been ripped off a million times by now.

RashoMAN is a more-contemporary epic about one man's lonely quest to infect everyone he fucks with syphillis. It features Drew Barrymore in an early role.

Kzoo was recently named the meanest city in Michigan. Heard it on the radio.

Public Enemies - This could have been a really great movie, but it's not. It focuses way too much on J. Dilla and there are too many lame action-movie shootouts. As a result, it drags on forever. 5/10

The Hangover - This movie is very funny. Admittedly, most of the actors in it are pretty awful - Bradley Cooper and that douche who plays the groom are especially unfunny and lame. And you can tell that they're trying really hard to recapture the magic of Old School. But two things make this movie great - first, that it's arranged like a detective story where drunks who have blacked out are trying to investigate what they did for the last 12 hours. Second, that Zack Galifianakis was cast in the keystone role. That guy clearly is a genius. Will Ferrell is only funny because of his one trick: he takes characters who are totally stupid and ridiculous and plays them with total dramatic conviction and pathos. But ZG is much better because he creates something awesome in every single scene he's in, and sometimes it's exactly the opposite of what you'd expect. 8/10

Watched Wonder Boys last night at about 4am. I think that is the perfect time to watch that movie. It's not very good. I always think I hate Toby McGuire. Something about how he looks and the sound of his voice makes me not want to like him, but I can't deny his acting. He's good in too many things (I've not seen the Spiderman movies) that I have to admit I think he's a good actor. He certainly doesn't save this movie though.
