WCF: Dallas (4) vs Phoenix (2), Mavs win 4-2

    vs

    series schedule:

    1. May 24 at Dallas (TNT) 8:30
    2. May 26 at Dallas (TNT) 8:30
    3. May 28 at Phoenix (TNT) 8:30
    4. May 30 at Phoenix (TNT) 9:00
    5. June 1 at Dallas (TNT) 8:30*
    6. June 3 at Phoenix (TNT) 9:00*
    7. June 5 at Dallas (TNT) 8:30*

*= If necessary (as if you didnt already know)

A rematch of last year, when Steve Nash tore Dallas and Jason Terry to bits.

Dirk mainly is looking for redemption in a series where Shawn Marion just dominated him

But with no Amare to abuse Dampier again however, I see Dallas ending this in 6 games this time around.

Phoenix is one Amare short too many to beat them again.

Yeah but Kurt Thomas doesnt have anyone to guard.

He would have been useful vs Brand or Duncan, but Dirk will blow right by him.

Dallas plays a much slower pace than last year.

Their ISO-offense should be extremely effective against Phoenix's swarming defense that relies on trapping.

I'd imagine Stackhouse and Terry are going to get 7-10 open threes a game from the corners.

ummm dampier and diop were cut? dirk doesnt play center and i expect marion will be on him with tim thomas in the mix on that too. marion is starting to peak now and is capable of putting 30+ up on dirk.

naw kurt thomas roll will be to battle dampier and diop on the boards. if dallas goes to its extra small lineup, i expect slashers like barbosa and nash to have a field day. I question how well Dallas can defend when diop and dampier arent on the court to clog the middle. Nash hasnt been phased by devin harris.

odd that with all this dallas defense talk, they havent held phoenis to anything lower than 108 points(their season average) all year except in one game.. i expect high scoring games. and that favors phoenix all day.

Yeah, Kurt Thomas can spend the series battling two non-factors. He wont be that important.

on the boards he will. and unlike those two he's capable of atleast 10 points a game.

He wont play enough to score 10ppg, since there's no reason for him to be in the game slowing things down.
