It was on the news and radio all this morning
...
He was Em's best man at his wedding
...
And Bizarre
...
Rip Proof
It fuckin sucks man. Proof was a cool cat. A family man.
He was a laid back dude.
Condolences to his family, friends, D12, Eminem, Musicians in Detroit,
as well as musicians and fans worldwide.
He will be remembered for his music, but here in Detroit,
mostly his heart and his love for this city and it's people.
God bless you all. Light a candle for Proof tonight everyone.
One Love
MOLA1
Talented underrated Rap artist. Thats pretty fucked up for Em and Bizzy i'm sure. For all of D12 for that matter i'm sure.

Stalked by a Mod who gives 1 percent credence.
Underrated for sure. Loved Searching for Jerry Garcia...
Another hit for Detroit as a city & hip hop in general
This sucks real bad man. I got a pic of him on my camera phone walking off-stage at the concert at Comerica last summer. I'm going to have to use that as my wallpaper in honor of Proof.
Proof was real tight. I'm a huge Em fan and a big D12 fan too. I always turned it up a bit when Proof's verse came on in each song. I wonder what D12 is going to do now?
Much love to Proof and his friends and family. God bless.

When I heard this, I truly could not believe it. This absolutely blows.
I happened to be listening to WJR this morning (I know, first mistake) and the host was all but dancing on dude's grave, expressing his outrage at how Proof was being "glorified" and going on to use his death to validate every stereotype about rap and hip hop you can imagine.
He only just stopped short of saying they're all murdering thugs who have it coming, then again I had to stop listening after a while so maybe he did go there, it was certainly the direction things were headed.
I won't even touch how the callers used it as a springboard. I half expected them to be cutting eye holes in their pillow cases as they spoke.
