Too bad Mulder couldn't stay healthy, or today's Cards-Padres game might have been Mulder v. Peavy.

Padres general manager Kevin Towers told The Associated Press he was told that Peavy was headed for a goodwill tour of the Dominican Republic with other major league players when he double-parked to drop off his bags and was told by airport police to move his car.
"The airport police told him he couldn't park his car there and he said, 'Write me up a ticket and I'll pay for it,'" Towers said. "He was arrested."

I was going to post the story when I first saw it to make fun of Peavy. Then I read it and realized it wasn't Peavy as much as it was overzealous rent-a-cops.
We had subs. It was crazy.

Apr 15 Peavy was dominant on Saturday night against the Dodgers. He pitched seven innings and allowed one run on three hits and two walks. Peavy struck out three.

Recommendation: In three starts this season, all against divisional foes, Peavy is 2-0 with a sparkling 0.90 ERA and 0.85 WHIP. His 12 strikeouts in 20 innings are a tad lower than expected, but it's hard to find much to criticize about Peavy's season thus far. If Peavy can stay healthy, the sky's the limit.

    Some things never change.

Peavy strikes out 16 last night, including an amazing 9 in a row, and yopu guessed it... gets a no decision.

Trevor Hoffman got smoked in the 9th to blow it fo rmy man Jake.

JP needs to get away from the Padres, if he were a Yankee, he'd be locking up multiple Cy's.

I still have no idea how this poll is tied. I could see 6-2 or even 5-3 but come on.

Everyone keep in mind that all this started like 85 years ago when I admitted that Peavy had the longterm potential but for that one season Mulder was the better option.

It's something about Todd Jones, I think.

Or it's shorthand for "Peavy owns Mulder".
