You can try to downplay rape by equating it to all other felonies but it rings hollow. You openly root for a rapist. You even wedge your rooting for him onto a board that has nothing to do with Pittsburgh. And yeah, if the Lions traded for or signed "Big Ben" I'd root against and denounce them.

As for whether there are any Lions with felonies on their rap sheet, I'll leave that to the guy who runs the WTFDetroit Twitter account to research. If you find any child pornographers or murders on the roster, let me know.

It sucks that pro athletes have criminals in the ranks. I don't like that my favorite NFL team has bad guys, but all teams do, so if you're going to watch the games and have favorite teams, it helps if you can disassociate from that part and just pull for the jersey and the guys who haven't proven to be garbage, until they prove otherwise.

I'll take the track record of the Rooneys - it's about as good as it gets. Not perfect, but in relative terms, admirable.
