It's still considered the "2006 Season".

The Lions season is never over...because it never starts. Lions seasons are just one big long losing season with breaks now and then.
Phil Wenneck: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan Garner: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.

    Damn, Arizona hired Whisenhunt.

I sure hope the Steelers go outside the organization now.

Ron Rivera looks like the best option to me right now.

When the Steelers get back to work on Tuesday, they will interview Mike Sherman. He is an assistant head coach for the Houston Texans and former head coach of the Green Bay Packers.

Sherman began his coaching career in 1981 as a part-time coach at Pitt.

There are four other candidates still vying for the Steelers job.

They are Steelers offensive line coach Russ Grimm, Chicago’s Ron Rivera, Minnesota's Mike Tomlin and Georgia Tech's Chan Gailey.

The Steelers are just one of three NFL teams looking for a head coach. The other two are the Dolphins and the Raiders.

Grimm is reportedly not a candidate in either Miami or Oakland.

Whisenhunt and grimm got no vote of confidence from Cower. He instead endorsed Chan Gailey I heard... Glenn I hope you enjoyed your stank ass run. Because the post Bettis era is looking iffy.

Well that 5th Super Bowl was nice, that will just have to tide me over for a decade or so.

Yeah, well, when you're busy sitting around waiting for your next super bowl run, we'll have the awesome privilege of guessing which top-10 talent the Lions will be drafting every year.

I don't know much about Mike Tomlin other than he's the same age that Cowher was (34) and has the same qualifications that Cowher did (DC) when they hired him.

    And he's African American.

    And he's not Russ Grimm.

    That's the biggest +
