They need to just turn Tensai into a comedy character already, because it's not working. It was kind of like when I signed up on here and tried to be serious.

Awesome swerve. Elevated the show quality a little bit.

    Ask and ye shall recieve:

There are many schools of thought on why you (as booker) would put Cena over Lesnar in the first match...

    1) You want to show everyone that your #1 guy is better than the UFC's drawcard, despite the fact everyone thinks UFC is real and wrestling is fake #Vinceisanidiot

    2) You as booker doubt that Lesnar will stick with the company for the full year you signed him for so you put your #1 guy over him as soon as possible #Brock'saquitter

    3) You realise this is the PG era and you need to end the show with the good guy winning the day so kids don't whine and bitch about hating the show and Mom and Dad pony up more money next month to see WTF is going on #whopaysforthemanymore?

    4) It bucks the tried and true formula that your fans were expecting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SWERVE! Unfortunately it's a swerve just for the sake of it!

EVERYONE thought Brock would destroy Cena. That's how you build the story - the heel beats the living shit outta the face! It's worked for 60 years and always will!

Cena goes home for a month or 2 while Brock rules Raw like he used to back in the day... you have Brock vs Punk, Brock vs Daniel Bryan... it's all "legit"... Brock become the Champ, destorys all and sundry, he is The Man and no one can fucking beat him!

Then you have Cena come back... and he's back to save the day! You build towards the rematch at WrestleMania where obviously Cena wins!

It's a year long soul searching story for your #1 good guy... who lost faith in himself after losing to The Rock... got injured by Brock a month later... but then he made some appearances for Make A Wish Foundation, found some hope and courage in the kids he was there to meet and greet, he returns and BOOM!

Lays waste to all the evil in the WWE and topples the monster Brock Lesnar - defeating his demons in the flesh on the biggest stage of the year!

    Unfortunately that didn't happen (:

    5) John Cena is a whiny little bitch and changed the original finish because he's Super Cena and can't be beaten! The internet sites will have you believe that Brock threw a hissy fit after the PPV because of Cena's little promo... apparently the "real" finish of the match was that Cena would be carried out on stretcher - therefore beginning my scenario explained aabove...

Internet sites KNOW nothing - guess everything. There is no fucking way a PG era PPV will end with John Cena, their #1 drawcard, the hero to kids and Moms carted out of the arena on the stretcher.. this is bullshit! It doesn't add to any story whatsoever and is "Attitude Era" shit for the sake of it.

There are plenty of moles within WWE that pass info onto these sites - but usually it takes a while for word to filter out... I feel this has been invented by some idiot who thinks that Cena getting his head handed to him was supposed to lead to a new and improved, edgier version of Cena...

There will not be a new and edgier version of Cena! Not any time soon! If you are waiting for the Attitude Era sequel come back in 8 years

The reason Brock lost? Because no one expected it. It's really that simple.

WWE loves to change shit up because it messes with the internet marks you think they know everything about the business (witness Daniel Bryan's 18 second loss! Benoit's WrestleMania title win!) WWE can and will change shit just to change it. The problem is where they go from here...

Because obviously Cena has been granted some time off... and now Brock is getting time out... he appeared 5 times in his first month even though the internet sites claimed he was signed for 2 shows per month... maybe it wasn't 2 per month... maybe it was 24 appearances over 12 months... so now they need to buy some time and get him off tv?

Either way Cena and Brock, like HHH and Taker are off TV for a bit... Cean needs a break anyway - he works harder than any man for te company... possibly including Vince. He does every appearance, every show, every charity... and he LOVES being a role model!

So yeah... the real reason Cena won? Because WWE likes to fuck with their fans who think they know everything and can predict this fake shit!

BTW, WWE is giving CM Punk and Daniel Bryan the Main Event slot at the next PPV... so after everybody has burnt their money on Mania and Extreme Rules no one has cash legft for this show...

which means WWE has set Punk and Bryan up to fail - according to the internet sites.

WTF? How stupid are these smarks that run these fucking sites?

WWE caters to hardcore fans and casual fans... right now Daniel Bryan is as popular as he's ever likely to be... thanks to WWE fucking it up at WrestleMania... the original plan was for Sheamus to squash Bryan and get the hero's reception afterwards... because he beat the "hated" heel for the title... WWE under-estimated the appreciation fans have for Bryan's heel work... and because of that WWE might have to turn Bryan face by the end of the summer!

So in the mean time Punk v Bryan is the way to go - 2 "internet favourites" battle for the world title.. Ring of Honor fans will cream their pants! More importantly the crowd that has embraced Bryan will pony up some money to see if WWE will wake the fuck up and put him on top - at least for the Summer.

Last year was the Summer of Punk... and WWE dropped the ball with that big time. Here's hoping the Summer of the Dragon (American Dragon Bryan Danielson) is executed well...

and that would mean Bryan winning the title from Punk next month.... then doing the typical heel thing and dodge the rematch... facing Sheamus on TV (Champ v Champ), then facing Alberto Del Rio on PPV, then putting Mark Henry into retiirement on the next PPV before Punk somehow gets his rematch at Summerslam

Dual Main Events = HHH v Brock.... Punk v Bryan

Survivor Series = Brock v Bryan... with Brock LOSING to Bryan!

You use this summer to really elevate and establish Daniel Bryan as a top flight star... much like they used last summer to elevate Punk... except this time Nash and HHH don't cut Bryan off at the knees and ruin his push like they did to Punk... instead WWE goes all the way and makes Bryan their "#1" guy....

    and then Cena returns!

Cena sees that Bryan has effectively taken his spot, is now the hero of the people....

Where could you go with that story? IMO Cena needs to be beaten down, to have doubt about his ability, to question his place in the WWE.... and you can do this over the next 12 months.... before you have him go one on one against The Undertaker at WrestleMania... the biggest challenge of his career, the biggest fight of his life... can Cena find redemption? Or will The Undertaker bury him?

    BOOM! Making squillions is easy!

Punk pretty much confirmed in the opening segment with Laurinaitis that he and Bryan aren't going on last.

Raw is off to another lame start. No surprise there.

Probably about to tune out. Thank god for the Tigers.

Should have just brought Heyman out at the start. Man, that show was pretty... meh.

Now I can watch some REAL sports, like the NBA and MLB. Maybe the Rugsby, too, if I can find a... match?

WWE might not put Punk v Bryan on last - and it won't be THE story going into the PPV... but it's the main event to a lot of people.

The other World title will be decided in a 4 way clusterfuck... it doesn't matter who is in it having 4 wrestlers in the same singles match dilutes the crowd reaction and emotional investment...

How so? Because generally they put 2 heels in vs 2 faces... so it plays like a tag team brawl... except the fans KNOW it's for the World singles title... and if you like both the good guys you kind of sit on the fence and hope ONE of them win it...

If you allow the fans too many options it falls flat - always has and always will. Having more people is great for big "spots" because you have more guys who can do more moves but for the World Title? It needs to be 1 on 1 to maximise the whole "good vs evil" ideal.

The drama WWE has right now is... like Z most fans were actually cheering for Cena to get up and beat Brock at Extreme Rules.... after 2 years of crowds being split down the middle WWE had a monster heel who forced male wrestling fans to cheer for Cena... and then they went and had Cena get the W... AND move into a storyline with the GM!

WTF? Extreme Rules should have seen Brock win... Cena could have lost in plenty of ways without being pinned...

They could have had Cena counted out after Brock drills him on the floor.
They could have had Cena DQ'd for using the chain

Or better yet they could have had Cena pass out from a submission move, blood on face but he passes out (Austin v Hart at WrestleMania)

This shows Cena's determination as a character, his heart, guts, will, whatever... but also shows Brock is a big bad motherfucker!

Cena then could take a month or 2 off while WWE builds things around Punk, Brock, Bryan etc...

But WWE fucked it up... as usual. All they do is the same old shit - it gets them the guaranteed reasonable financial results they can depend on... it's all corporate bullshit!

Such is the state of wrestling in 2012
