Gave it a great effort, guys. We can hold our heads high.
General Observations:
Baynes has stonehands.
Stanley's little floater is going to be a weapon but he needs to learn to finish strong if he's gonna keep anyone honest and let him use it.
Force-feeding Andre in the post the first few games is going to show dividends eventually but it'll be a while. He's showed things the last 2 days I haven't seen before including a couple actual good passes.
Tolliver is useless. I loved him as a play-hard mascot type but he's 13th man on a winner unless he remembers how to shoot.
I like that we went with the Johnson-Drummond-Morris frontcourt a lot tonight....but can see that morphing into more Johnson-Ilya-Drummond against slower teams, need Morris on the second team, they're clueless plus we have no real backup 3 OR 4 if Stanley starts getting more minutes...
I'm sure I sound like a Morris hater in all my posts lately, I'm not, I love that we have him but don't want him getting ahead of himself....
Getting Brandon Jennings back in December should hopefully push Steve Blake out of the active lineup. This team really needs a good power forward, as Ilyasova doesn't cut it full time and Tolliver is, as Vinny wrote, useless. I don't know who's remotely available outside of maybe Markieff Morris.
If the Pistons' starting point guards would stop getting injured, that would be swell too.
That last post is too negative. This team played the Warriors very well and held Steph Curry to his lowest point total of the season. If Reggie Jackson didn't get hurt and the Pistons' momentum didn't dry up, maybe it's a single-digit game at the end.
Tolliver has always been a borderline scrub/specialist.
He steals money for the most part.
Find a new slant.
