I'm impressed.

Clearly, my crystal ball is out of whack. In my adult life, Oakland County where I was born/raised/live is within a couple points of the overall Michigan results. If anything, it leans a bit more Republican than Michigan as a whole. Where I get my gut feelings of elections is surely based on where I live -- neighbors, friends, people waiting in line at the restaurant, the yard signs that don't vote, the folks at the gym, etc. Yesterday, I told an out-of-state relative "my sense is Clinton wins Michigan by about 8. Indeed, Clinton won Oakland County by 8. I never expected Michigan being a squeaker one way or the other (probably Trump at this point) based on that. I simply figured if Clinton wins Michigan by 8, she's unlikely to lose the country.

Yup, my crystal ball be broke.

"High crimes and misdemeanors" are grounds for impeachment. That means most anything Congresscritters want it to mean. And I wasn't talking impeachment, just investigations. I don't have to "try harder". I set the bar low because the bar for stupid investigations about most anything is low, which is why "OMG we can't vote for X because they'll be under constant investigation" is B.S.

Just because there was a settlement in which he said he'd pay them doesn't mean he paid them, or ever will.
