Thread: Rip gone.

It would make sense if the amnesty is used as well. If CV is amnestied then I'd be happy. I'm just not counting on good things happening. I'd ditch Villanueva because Stuckey got flipped for someone in his spot. Like a Stuck and a first for Josh Smith deal.

    Knight/Bynum
    Gordon/ ?
    Prince/ Daye
    Smith/JJ
    Monroe/Big Ben

    A dude can dream right?

The only thing that makes zero sense to me is cutting Terrico White. I see no advantage to the move.

2 years too late, best for both parties, Pistons keep amnesty, save some money, RIP can sign with Chicago, win another chip

Leaving $14 million on the table at age 33? Now THAT's buffoonery.

so i'm confused- does his entire original salary still count against the cap? that's what i assumed but i read an article that made it seem as if only the buyout amount counts against the cap. (IOW, $4 mil this year and 4mil next year.)

If that number is correct, Joe D is a genius and/or miracle worker. I wonder what we'll do with that money...

Initially, I assumed a buyout for $15-20 million.

Seeing that buyout number has changed my mind about how I feel about the deal.

Even if Rip signs for $10 million for 2 years with Chicago, he's still leaving $4 million on the table.
    I just don't get that.

Goes to show how miserable he was last year. But for someone bitching at the ref about a tech he got saying..."you just cost me 2 thousand dollars" or something, you'd think he be more concerned with 7 figure amounts.

If he sat in Detroit for 2 years and hardly played he's never get another contract so i assume he's thinking he can rebuild his image and get one last decent deal.

Regardless, I actually have alot of respect for him taking it, shows he still wants to play.

Quick piece by VINNY which was a logo style of his. VINNY also did two letter throw up's by the name of FI 2.
