    Jansen, 34, had been in a fight with Gosder Cherilus for the starting right tackle position all camp. In the meantime, four-year veteran Corey Hilliard, who can play both tackle spots, something Jansen doesn't do, emerged.

    So, at CB, we have Houston, Wade, Berry, and Smith. Whoa. Young group with lots of potential, but we'll have to see if they can develop.

    At safety, we have Delmas, Phillips, Spievey, C.C. Brown, and John Wendlingburger.

    many of these guys saw significant playing time last yr -- all except McDonald were on competent teams

    ^ We'll prolly hear about the practice squad signings before we hear who won the waiver claims. Practice squad guys started an hour ago or so, but haven't heard anyting.
