it didnt work as well for theme music throughout the movie, however.

watching license to kill, i dont think you can get through the movie without being distracted by tallisa soto's "performance" as lupe lamora



not bad looking, but i doubt she's topping many's top bond girl lists. which makes you wonder, what kind of sick, depraved acts she had to perform to get the role. im thinking a video of that would have been a whole lot better what she brought to this movie. she makes soffia coppala in godfather III seem like brando. earlier i said plenty o'toole may have been the worst actress. plenty was more annoying than terrible. lupe, on the other hand... i guess its part of the bond charm that you get a mixed bag of acting talents, but she's lowman, no matter how many more movies get made.

otherwise, movie wasnt bad. could have been great if someone let dalton know: 1) bond doesnt get bossed around, 2) bond doesnt appologize, 3) bond doesnt ask twice. if they just "butched" his bond up a little, he would have nailed the role. he did well again in the movie, but the scene he seduced pam bouvier

seems a little... forced. 2 turns at bond and you cant help but wonder if dalton is gay (not that theres anythign wrong with that).

gladys did a nice job with the theme. very underrated.

Like most American women, Carey Lowell just wasn't a great Bond girl.

At the moment, I'm struggling to think of someone beside Halle Berry/Jinx who was a good American Bond girl.

who played a nuclear physicist. that being probably more unrealistic than the entire moore era combined.

rating the top 5 non connery bond films, i'd go:

1)on her majesties...
2)living daylights
3)goldeneye
4)casino royale
5)???

those 4 really stand out to me, but i feel like the 5th is quite debatable. i could go with license to kill or the spy who loved me. moore had a bunch of good bonds (and a few clunkers), but due to some of their decision making i couldnt call any of his great.

quantum of solace is probably the most commonly named bond as worst of the series. i dont feel that way. its weaker than casino royal, and if you dont like the new style than i guess i could see calling it the worst. bond going the gritty, kinda realistic route isnt as appealing to me as it once was. bond ideally is done with a wink and a smile (just not a talking parakeet who converses with maggie thatcher). but i didnt hate this one at all.

side question: does jack white performing "another way to die" with alicia keyes count as selling out? i feel this is very debatable.

That reminds me... I have the game Quantum Of Solace on my crackberry. I don't really play it. The gameplay is kind of "ehhh".
