but what does he offer? we have too many promising young athletes and good young players to bring back a one-dimensional guy who can't score well against today's defenders, particularly given he's lost a couple of steps and is regularly banged up.
i'd much rather keep english or middleton, for example, and avoid denying a young talented guy a roster spot. rip is well past his prime and i think the cost-benefit analysis results in him not being a good fit. we are trying to get younger and more athletic.
