What if Bosh Melo both were not to be all stars if we drafted them?. Maybe we tell bosh he can't time until he gains more weight, bench melo because he can't defend. Scenarios are just as big a factor in what you get when you draft someone IMO. As silly as it sounds, Darko could be the all star and Bosh could be hampered in development playing on a team that was too busy to get him on the court for any other reason than him being good enough to take a vets job the day we draft him. I still melo wouldn't have seen the court much under LB and quite possibly develops a Rodney White Rep.

Just quoting this before it gets edited, thanks.
    Find a new slant.

When Darko tried to dunk, he got blocked by the rim. That's a bad basketball player, LB didn't do that to him.

Melo gets 30 whenever he wants. And not because of the leadership of Jeff Bzdelik. He's good at basketball naturally.

Believing otherwise is nothing short of ignorant.

    Excuse me Gutz but:

How the fuck can you sit there and type that shit?

Obviously Darko iwas seriously flawed. He wasn't mentally tough enough to be drafted #2 and he wasn't mature enough either.

Bosh? His behavior prior to the Draft shows he was mature enough to handle his business. His play as a rook proves it too

Melo? While a little immature he was ready to ball as a rookie. His D wasn't stellar but offensively? The guy was about as ready as any rookie could be.

I fucking hate this topic. That #2 pick could have ....

Fuck it - what's done is done.
    Rise like Lions after slumber,
    In unvanquishable number -
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you -
Ye are many - they are few.

A little immature but he was a super stud in college and everyone knew it would translate beautifully. Everyone's immature when they're 19.

I wonder how Melo's D would have developed if he'd been on a defensive minded team. He'd have been instant offense off the bench, but the organizational focus on D could have pushed him to develop that part of his game early on. Would have been interesting to see.
