    I'm all for winning every single game possible but the franchise needs to be realistic too.

    IF you are gonna get spanked as the 8th seed you just might be better off missing the playoffs altogether and taking your chances in the Lottery.

    It's not even about a Top 3 pick. It's that your pick should bring a talented young CHEAP talent that you can either hold on to for a few years or you can trade with some other dude for a better player.

    Well, you can choose to be idealistic about it, but I know that I would have been much more excited to watch the draft lottery if we were in play than I was to watch the 4 game photography class that we provided Lebron with.
    Find a new slant.

    Why do I have to be "idealistic" to soothe your own interpretation of what's exciting. I feel it's selfish to your hate for lebron, rather than you giving a shit about the Pistons in that scenario(they'd probably gain more as a team getting the best they can out of those playoff games rather than rolling lottery dice, but you wouldn't be as excited apparently). To each his own, but that line of thinking is just counterproductive imo. I'll move though because i'm speaking against a populasr stance in here.

    Counterproductive is wanting the team to be a sacrificial lamb for the #1 seed instead of getting better players.
