Thread: Pistons/Gortat

I would think Bynum is more proven than Gortat.

If you can get a starting caliber center for MLE money for the next 5 years or so, that's something you have to like.

Does it still work with Gortat being BYC?

Again, that's hoping he's starting caliber.

He had a nice little spurt during the playoffs. Plenty of non-starting caliber guys do that all the time.

yes it works according to realgm trade checker ^^

now the question would be is Gortat really a starting center or not? this guy hasnt played more than 15 min, if you pay him full MLE money you want him on the floor for 30 min a game, can he do that?

Gla doesn't care. He just likes a sale.

I think he can play 30 minutes.

I know that some here will look to find flaws in any guy that's not on the Pistons, but he's big, tough & skilled, what's not to like? And how else are we going to get a guy like that?

I think it says something that Donnie Nelson liked him enough to give him that offer sheet. I would guess that not many people have seen him play more than Donnie.

I'll wait for someone to rip him now, too.

    Asking questions = ripping.

You were just asked (twice) if/why you thought he would be able to start.

He would be able to start because he wouldn't be playing behind Dwight Howard (again).

He'd be starting for Dallas, Houston or any other team that he would have signed with had the Magic not matched that offer sheet.

What else do you want me to say besides "I think he can play 30 minutes, he's big, tough and skilled"?

I don't think he'll ever be an all star center, but neither are Beidrins and a host of other centers I wouldn't mind having.
Phil Wenneck: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan Garner: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.
