I would not disagree that news in general defends the President more than it needs to (and always has, to my knowledge). I don't like when the news assumes the positive or the negative simply based on who is relaying the message.

Proper respect needs to be paid to the office, but the person holding the office should not be given a free pass or unjustified bullshit based on the office they hold.

Instead of voting on Issa's proposal to subpoena records from CountryWide on sweetheart deals a couple of the dems rec'd...they hid under the rock from which they came.
